Lucky for you this is one of Mera's shorter postsššš. A filler episode though it's one where Krishna finally faces Prats after his hearing the truth from his mother's lips and begs her forgiveness. SDS's fears surfaces and SS fosters Ganga on her first day at the Niwas.
Krishna and Prats moves towards the door separating them. He however loses his nerve to face her and he ends up at the Adda where he restlessly paces under the open night skies while his two devars are sleeping like logs. Krishna drops his metal glass trying to get himself a drink of water from the pot. The devars are alerted to the presence of their bhaiyya's well being. When Krishna admits to making a big mistake where Prats is concerned Chandu doesn't hesitate to remind him that no apology or punishment is good enough for his behavior. Krishna is ready to face the music but he just doesn't know how he will face Prats, look her in the eye and ask for her forgiveness? Tunna pragmatically reminds Krishna what's done is done, he's got to apologize anyways, so now he just got to PHREKTIS (what he's going to say to Prats). Krishna gets on with the program and starts his audition in front of his friends even throwing a tapas posture in there as a possibility. Soon the devars are on their cots back to sleeping like logs leaving Krishna to tackle his insomnia. Why are these two sleeping here, don't their parents ever wonder where they have gone all day and night or have they been thrown out of their homes for behaving like bums? Friends means never to have to say you're sorry ...and so Krishna didn't apologize to Chandu for that volley across his cheek last week for playing Prat's messengerš
As the first rays of sunshine hits the Adda Krishna hurriedly wakes up his buddiesš. They have nowhere to go and nothing to do so they can sleep in but Krishna's been up all night thinking about ways to apologize to Prats and he's in a hurry. He shares his conclusions with his buddies. First he's going to ask for forgiveness in Hindi then in English. But whyš¤? BTW, Krishna, MAAFI is asking for forgiveness while SAARI is just an apology. So better stick to Hindi to ask for Prats's forgiveness. He is done waiting and wants to rush over to the Saxes and get it over with. Chandu says people make little mistakes and say sorry at the drop of a hat, after all Krishna's grave mistake definitely calls for a grand apology. The devars are not sparing their bhaiyya or treating him with kid gloves this time. Instead they are giving it to him straight...just the way a friend should. Tunna is ready to make a cuppa Sax for all of them before Krishna heads out to see Prats. But Krishna has other plans. "Not necessary!" He discloses his plan is to have a cuppa Sax at his sasural with Pratigyaš. Let's see if she let's you in the door to start with. If he gets a cuppa chai it will be his first cup at Saxes since the half cup Shamu shared with him while the rest of the family was off to Sangam to do the pooja.
Now hold on a minute! Did the Sax do major remodeling? A balcony wraps around the front entrance to the Sax home. The door directly leads into the foyer at the bottom of the stairs leading to the terrace. Yet today, there are walls where the balcony and steps to the front door as supposed to be. Oh well! Allahabad seems to have plenty of morphing buildings, first the Niwas and now the GH too where the wall colors change overnight and walls appear and disappear at will. And why have the Saxes left their front door ajar this early in the morning? Was someone awaiting an unexpected guest? Today, the door leading into the living room is locked instead.
Hearing a knock Prats swings the doors to the living room wide open and sees Krishna standing in front of her. Their eyes lock on each other like a pair of magnets. At the same time Prats's manners have gone tel leneš. It takes Shamu who strides into the living room to welcome Krishna in and ask Prats if she plans to invite him in or just let him stand out there. Shamu is understanding and tries to put Krishna at ease, tells him not to be too worried about what happened. Good going Shamu! You don't blame him for his mother's shenanighans. Prats and Krishna steal glances at each other as Shamu hovers around awkwardly. Krishna stops Shamu as he leaves the room and confesses he doesn't know how to apologize and he has been a victim of misunderstanding and caused their family pain sadness. He is ashamed and begs for forgiveness. Shamu consoles him that sometimes such misunderstandings between relatives do happen. He encourages Krishna to put the past behind him for all is well that ends well. Good advice Shamu Papa! š
FINALLYššā¦ā¦ā¦..Naina offers Krishna a cuppa Sax (it's been a year since SCAM got his first glass of Sax). Krishna is about to take a sip but decides to ask Naina for her forgiveness as well. He explains that when his head is messed up things go wrong. He asks her to forgive him as she would her child. Naina assures him there is no difference between son and damadh and forgives him. He adds innocently that he decided to start his day with a cuppa Sax at his sasural. But was concerned what he'd do if they refused to forgive me? Darn it! He gets a cup of Sax but never gets to drink it. Maybe he will tomorrow after Prats forgives him, it will probably taste better too.š
Krishna accepts biscuits from Arusi and asks for her forgiveness for venting at her in anger awhile ago. Arusi thinks the only person he should seek forgiveness from is Prats, she's not been at peace for a moment for days now. Krishna is ridden with guilt, ignores his tea and approaches Prats. Why are the three Sax gooseberries sitting there like they've been glued to their seats instead of giving this couple some privacy to talk things through? After locking eyes earlier how come they can't look at each now?š¤š²
At the Saxes when it rains it pours. After over a year of insulting and ignoring Krishna the Sax are suddenly feeling very hospitable and magnanimous one fine morning. That too on a day when he shows up on their doorstep and they have no idea whether he is going to come in his calm or ballistic avatar. He gets a warm welcome, cup of Sax and biscuits first thing in the morning. Tea time is any time at Saxes and so it is today at daybreak.
SS like Krishna is beginning his day with a call out to Lady Ganga much the same way Krishna starts his day hollering out for Pratigya. SDS is concerned Krishna has not returned home since last night. SS reminds his buck-buck bleating biwi he's calling for Ganga while she's off on a tangent talking about Krishna. Ganga arrives just then and SS pleasantly announces "MY Ganga has comeš²". Now here's where SS is a toss-up. Is he playing a protective father figure to Ganga or does he hope to be in like Flynn? This buzurg Takur has a plan up his sleeve much the way Takurain had one when she went solo recently and it blew up in her face.
He instructs the young lassie to be up early every morning to serve him his first cup of tea and also get his first darshan of herš². This annoys GD his payback for meddling with his plans for Ganga. He asks Ganga if she was kept awake with GD's snores all night or if she had a restful night. MMM thinks SS is just joshing his family members with his behavior keeping them on their toes and guessing his every move. He even declines it when Piaisya brings him tea and tells her to take it back under his breath. He makes an announcement to the ladies of the house that Ganga will henceforth make his first of cup tea every morning. He asks Ganga to make him a good cup of Sax. SDS sarcastically comments about being concerned about their own matters when their son has been gone away from home all night. SS replies sarcastically "Yeah? He's missing since last night, your motherly love was awakened last night and today you are thinking about Babua. It's not the first time Krishna has gone outside the home, that you are restless. He's not a baby. He is safe in Sajjan Singhs's Allahabad that if something happens he'll be back home safely. SS has always rubbed it in about Takurain's lack of understanding of Krishna. With the arrival of Ganga, Krishna may have postponed airing his mother's kartooth to SS. It won't take much for SS to put the pieces together and come to the conclusion that Krishna's call to him to rush home, his absence at home now and Takurain's nervousness at his absence all lead to Takurain's tamaashas. He's caught up in appreciating Ganga's arrival at his home. SDS is tipping her hand with her anxious behavior and she better hope things don't get any worse for her in coming weeks.
Takurain is all concerned about Krishna not having returned home all night. Is she concerned Krishna's track leads to Prats's door again? Is she trying to find a way to stop Krishna from spilling the beans to SS about her gatiya actions?
Ganga brings SS his cup of Sax and he enjoys his drink mightly pleased with the taste of it. He gives Ganga a few health tips ā¦tells her not to drink tea as it'll make her complexion darker. He instructs her to eat healthy nuts and ask Kesriya for anything she needs. Bitten by the green monster, SDS takes a second shot at SS in anger and mutters "a lot of concern for outsiders, but not concerned about his own son". Why is she so anxious about Krishna not returning home? Her worst nightmare may have come true with Krishna back at Prats's parents trying to patch up his marriage. Ganga a new arrival and Prats returning to Niwas is likely to usurp the Queen of Mean off her throne. KN knows his brother well and reminds SDS she is unnecessarily worried "awakened by love he's probably at MMGJ sleeping at his sasural. as he enjoys the second cup of Sax Ganga had made that GD declines earlier."
Krishna is once again unable to look Prats in the eyes as he attempts to apologize. He admits to having made a big mistake and regrets scolding and disrespecting her. He is sorry he had shut his mind and refused to hear a single word from her. Since hearing his mother's truth, at his wit's end he has started hating himself. He's been roaming all night going crazy thinking about all the things he'd said to Prats. Krishna admits "I didn't know where to go, who to go to and talk about my mistakes. I didn't have to courage to face you or look you in the eyes. As the criminal before you I ask for your forgiveness again and again to wash away my sins. He holds his ears and pleads "So please forgive me Babu". Prats fights back the tears and turns her face away. There we go! She's now doing the nautanki that is Krishna's trademark behavior. For once he is keeping his restlessness under control.
