Well i think todays episode was an eye-opener on quite a few things 😊
Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same
My fave scene was between Paanbha and Kesar, another thing i love about Kesar is he is very simple in the questions he asks, a hard question - he gets across so simply, like he says as he asks him mum, not to answer him as a mother but as an woman, why is it so wrong for him to love an older woman, and a widow woman, and that woman being his older brother's wife, when the matter of the fact is that woman was the one who did deeyarvatu with him, who was the younger brother (similar the same question Kesar asks Gulaal later) why was the deeyarvatu right but not fall in love with her, these questions are simple and yeah Kesar was right to ask them, but we all there is more to those questions as such esp from Gulaal pov, and how she feels
As Paanbha says how do you answer such questions, and what answers can you give - but the thing right now is so jumbled up - Kesar has said what he wants, and made his decision, Gulaal has said what she wants and made her decision... and so on. As Paanbha says what about Talli (i know most dont care for her but i think we can get some empathy for her and i was abit surprised that PB brought her into the convo in a way - its as if PB really didnt know how to console Kesar and give him the answers that he is looking or whatever) and Kesar finally realises that he hasnt once thought what might have gone through Talli's heart or what he was doing he didnt once think of her, and what made me laugh is that Kesar even when talking to Talli and saying sorry knowing full well he hurt he (the guy knew this on the wedding day and said sorry and so on), he was still on about himself and his love... no wonder Talli got stern with him, its not that he kept going on about his love and Gulaal, in some ways Talli accepts and knows it, its just that seeing Kesar so weak and feeling sorry for him, is what would get to her i guess, because i am not sure if am the only one that wanted Kesar to gain strength, but i get Kesar and his disadvantage he feels now that he has finally got what his feelings and love meant, that again is gone away from him... his whole identity and existence is Gulaal and i feel he needs to come out of in a good way, gain that as a strength instead of making it seem weak, and the only defence that made him strong was his anger and somewhat hate, he kept living on, even though those emotions were again connected with Gulaal (i feel bad for saying that, coz i feel i am not getting what i want across well)
Even though i had a little feeling first place Gulaal would go was her parents house, and she did - and even though she hadnt told them the real reason on why she had to leave was coz Kesar confessed his love, but we knew Poonambha would come down on her like anything, and saying you are making a mistake, walking away from that house and Kesar - we know in a way she is, but she also needs time and thats why i think its good she left, give her a breather - and the fact that her dad is the only one who is reasonable (and knew how his daughter is, and would be like) and in a good mind to talk to her and get across what needs to in a way, about life in general - past and future, which Gulaal needs even though it will be hard for her to take in and understand, its always been her and her dad, talking and seeing things through in a way. Her dad was right when he told Poonambha to understand the situation right now, that the time right now - Gulaal needs us and so on.
You know i do feel D was right, that Kesar should sometimes talk to elders then shouting the odds at times - have some understanding considering who he is talking to and who is around, and get across what he wants, and well we all know JK just does what she always does for her own gain as well
Last scene was pretty good, again we see such simple thoughts coming out of Kesar, even though there was still a sense of desperation in him, that little twinge of him begging her, but he did hit the bullseye with his question
We see Gulaal putting up a picture of Vasant up, her past and then her mum tells her Kesar is here, in other words i will say her present/future is here coming in Kesar. I think Gulaal in this scene got a few sutble jolts i guess, the simple facts that Kesar said to her, which i think for ages one by one needed to come out coz today Gulaal is thinking it, she cant and this is wrong, and like JZee said she feels violated, and i think thats the right word to use for her and what is happening everytime Kesar says or tries to say ILU, even today she snapped, and says atleast have some respect i think (as she feels she is Vasant's - Kesar's older brother's wife/widow, thats what Gulaal has lived as... and sees herself as) coz he is Kesar, the Kesar she knows, Vasant's Kesar
I still say a new chapter has to begin for Kesar-Gulaal, and yeah it will be a long one which is justified and needed, but they do need to grow together, Kesar is making something of himself and gain strength in his love and for Gulaal its to move forward maybe not with Kesar as one but in herself she has to, even if Gul-Kes come together today as going back home or whatever, they also need to move forward not only just together as the relation they share but in themselves as well, individually... starting point i have said it them getting off on the right foot and meaning both growing up esp Kesar, i have said even yesterday Kesar has got it in him to understand, and capacity to understand each and everything, and can change, and i dont mean change dratically but change in growing up, and obviously still somewhat keeping his Kesar qualities he has.
Gulaal and Kesar are not wrong in where they stand today, and what both think and want, and feel from their povs and what they are asking in themselves and others, and how Gulaal feels what she does and so on - either they make a compromise together or individually but i want to see them grow together, envolve - even ifs it individually right now
One thing i will say and its important is both Gulaal-Kesar need to understand each other and so on (and support as well), and because there is lot of things still left open concerning, feelings, love, moving forward, new relation, pain, Vasant truth, Dushyant, the secret, even Durgesh at some point lol - and this something i feel they should and could manage together and also grow as well
I think in a way, we can see that Gulaal did somewhat get a closure yesterday with Vasant esp if todays and tomorrow's scene are to go by, judging by what her dad says to her in the precap and Kesar raising questions on deeyarvatu, its ok to do that but not to love and so on... but we all know what reason she did that deeyarvatu in the first place, but the reason today from Kesar's pov is different, he wants it, he fought for it to stay, he stood up for it... and now it seems he is standing up again and making Gulaal thinking even if she doesnt want to...
PRECAP - I was waiting for this kind of scene, esp between Gulaal and her dad, coz it would only have to be her dad to talk to Gulaal like this and also comfort her and get through to her, make her aware of things, even if Gulaal is adamant not to fully understand it just now and shake her head...
Cause you can be hurt by love or healed by the same, timing is everything
