Geet smiled to herself as she went about making the aloo-bedmi that Vicky and Arjun had demanded for breakfast.
They had made love last night.
And Maan had been the gentlest and the most tender lover.
He had showered her with so much love and affection that all her pain had eased away, and right now she was feeling as fresh as the dew drops that sat, perched gently on the grass outside from the rain the night before.
The exotic smell of damp earth filled her lungs as she breathed in deeply, and the scent of happy flowers danced around her.
The birds chirped, even they knew that she was the happiest person alive on this earth today.
Geet herself looked like a Rose today, dressed in a beautiful pink salwar-kameez, her face blushing just the right shade to complement it.
Her cheeks were almost red, and the smile teasing her lips not ready to go away.
She was busy remembering the happenings of the night before and blushing on the memories, when she felt a pair of strong arms snake around her waist and capture her in a hug.
She turned her face to the side and saw Maan kissing her collar bone.
"Someone's looking more beautiful than the weather outside this morning", and saying this he turned her around to face him and kissed her senseless.
Geet moaned against his lips as he continued to invade her mouth, while his hands gently pressed her to himself.
They finally broke apart and Maan moved down to her neck, tickling her with his nose.
"Maan!!
Maan chodiye mujhe", Geet giggled against him.
"No chance"
"Maan, mujhe bahaut kaam hai!!", Geet continued to giggle.
"Geet main jaanta hun that we're commiting adultery"
Geet looked up at Maan in confusion.
"I know that it's wrong to have an intimate relation with your brother's wife, but last night felt so right, I'm not at all sorry about what happened last night.
But we must not let anyone know that there's something between us.
Okay, I think somebody's coming.
I should rush, will catch up with you later love.
Take care. "
And kissing her once again on her lips, he rushed out of the kitchen, leaving a very shocked and confused Geet behind.

came the noises as Geet continued to break all the expensive vases in the nursery.
She was hell angry.
Here she had been thinking that Maan had probably got his memory back, when according to him, he had committed adultery by sleeping with his brother's wife!
"Brother's wife!!!
BROTHER'S WIFE!!!!
BROTHER'S WIFE!!!! MY FOOT!!!!"
And she continued to throw a fit.
That was when she picked up another vase and hurled it at the door, but surprisingly did not hear the crash that should have followed.
She looked up and saw that instead of falling on the floor, it had been caught by the reason of her anguish.
Her husband.
Geet glared at Maan as he put the vase down on the floor carefully.
Then he came forward, and before she could say anything, kissed her again.
But before she could lose herself in his charm, she pushed him away.
"What's wrong darling?"
"WHAT'S WRONG??
WHAT'S WRONG!!
YOU'RE ASKING ME WHAT'S WRONG??!!!"
Maan simply nodded innocently.
"You think we comitted adultery!!"
Maan sighed as he picked her up in his arms and sat her down in his lap on the swing, and turned her angry face to look at him.
"Have you any idea how breathtakingly beautiful you look when you're angry. The way your nose get's all red and lips pout. They make me wanna kiss you to death!"
Upon recieving only a glare in return he continued.
"Come on Geet!
I know that we both share some very strong bond.
And that listening to your heart can never be a crime.
But we can also not deny the fact that sleeping with someone else's wife, cheating on your spouse is adultery!
You're my brother's wife Geet!
And harbouring such feelings for you is a sin on my part!
But I'm sorry!
I can just not help it!!
I tried to stay away from you!
Tried a lot to not think about you the way I do, not dream about you the way I do, not touch, not hold you, not keep you close to me!
But I failed Geet! For the first time in my lif , I failed!
Maan Singh Khurana can't live without you!
But if we come clean with our feelings for each other, it'd be scandulous!
It'd be all over the papers that an elder brother took his younger brother's pregnant wife away from him!
All the media hype, social defaming, not to mention the strong opposiion that we'd face on the hands of our family members!
And the rift that'd be caused between me and Dev!
And I can't imagine you going through that kind of pressure in your condition.
I'd die before I put you through all of that.
So, I've a solution to our problem"
Geet continued to gape at him in her state of shock.
It was taking more than she could've ever imagined to process all that he was saying.
"Either we forget about being together.
Which means killing our emotions and feelings for each other, and trying to move on in our lives.
And since I don't see that happening, I think we'd have to go with the second option"
"What's the second option?", Geet whispered.
"The second option is that we hide our relationship.
We pretend that everything is normal.
You live happily with Dev, and I'd pretend to be happy with the wife I choose out of the girls who have come here to stay with us.
When all the while, we'd actually be with each other.
I mean, how hard can it be?
We live in the same house!
Plus, Dev's not even here right now!
I think this'd be the perfect way to go about it.
No fuss, no issues!!

but before Geet could brake out of her reverie and try and make up a response to his preposterous suggestion, Maan's phone rang.
"Hello.
Yes Adi.
WHAT!!
Okay, I'll be there in fifteen minutes"
and saying so he disconnected the call.
"Geet.
I have to go to London for an urgent meeting.
I'll return after 3days.
Plz tell Dadi ma.
I've to rush.
Adi is waiting for me at the airport."
and saying so, he kissed Geetand rushed outside.
