The last thread was supposed to be their engagement thread but it ended before they got to that point!! But this thread will be one for sure!!! 😃

My dear Shanak are going to get engaged on 6/12/2011!!!!

Human After All is a phrase that I picked up from a favorite song of mine by Level 42. It struck me as being so basic yet poignant to the Human condition that I had to make it the underlying theme of my story with Shanak as the protagonists! So while reading it and pondering about the goings on I'd ask all of you to keep it in my mind, that we are all Human After All, liable to make mistakes, jump to conclusions, have misunderstandings, be generally crazy!!!

Khanak Agarwal is a young, sincere, hardworking doctor who truly believes in the essential goodness of mankind.

Shantanu Khandelwal is a Harward educated architect who is ambitious and leary of developing lasting relationships with women, but Khanak comes by and changes his mind and he falls head over heels in love with her.

They initially meet by chance, then by accident in the hospital where Khanak works. He is brought there as an accident victim along with his niece Megha who is the innocent and cute cupid of this story. Khanak saves his life.

Slowly as Shaan relentlessly pursues Khanak she finds herself unable to resist his incredible charm and falls in love with him as well . Shaan persuades his reluctant construction magnate father Sunil to agree to their match and the deal gets finalized.

In the 2 nd thread, they grew closer to each other. Shan volunteered to design the charity hospital and fulfilled one of Khanak's dreams in 'If Wishes Had Wings.' Khanak and her family did some wedding shopping and Shaan fitted her with bangles in 'Rimjhim Gire Saawan'. 'In Just the way you are,' Khanak learnt that Shaan was not ready to give her up no matter what proving all over again how much he loved and cared for her. The next update coming up is the Engagement!!!

Please use this space for general topic discussions such as wedding, clothes, song reqs, special scenes etc. I will try to maintain a list!! Please understand that its going to be a Monsoon Wedding..so all the scenes and songs have to have a monsoon flavor!! make it fun, loopy, crazy, romantic etc, etc.

As a couple of people have suggested please choose everyday to discuss a particular aspect of the wedding..i.e. clothes( go shopping we need plenty!), jewelry, situs with songs, rasms such as haldi, mehendi, etc..and who wants to be introduced when ( shaan is not going to send somebody to pik everyone up at the station!LOL,) please make a wish list and send them to me via email! Plz!!! Lets hv the most happening wedding!!!:D I also need a song wish list..PLZ!!
