Well, agle saal toh vaise bhi duniya ka end hone wala hai. No tension. đ đ
Seriously speaking though, CID is very dear to me and as much as I know the end is inevitable, I'd rather face it when it comes rather than go into depressing thoughts about it now. For me, it's a great achievement that the crime show I so loved during childhood still continues to entertain me with new cases every weekend at the same time, with glimpses of its old grandeur still flashing through occasionally, regardless of its present condition. I can never be grateful enough to the actors, production team and everyone who helped with that.
Like it's been said above, our trio are really the pillars of the show. I'm already anxious to see Satam sir getting less and less screen time with every episode. He's really an integral symbol of the show and a huge number of viewers will be turned off if he's not a part of it. One of my (almost absurdly lofty, I admit) dreams is to see CID becoming one of the longest running shows in history ever, which shall also lead to our beloved characters becoming immortalized in the history of television. Provided that the production house and channel keep going strong, they need to realize the zenith the quality of the stories must reach for that to happen, and put in extraordinary effort for that. And I mean extremely serious, dedicated and devoted effort for the sake of the show and fans, and not just the current TRP race, which is not even 2% of that. Going by the current trends, I'm not too hopeful. But then, ten years back, I could never have thought that we'd come so far either. We'll have to wait and see; I just hope that the people who created the show still have enough passion to enable it to happen.
Yeh, sometimes I'm a hopeless optimist. But I try to adjust the sails alongside! đ
