Social issue raised in Geet via Lucky's character is very very common within joint families. The elders make and take decision, young weak non leadership quality ones are treated like babies and their personality is overshadowed.
Lucky has been shown as weak, low self esteem, always babied , dependent irresponsible individual with low IQ. This type of people do exist in families. Either they are weak or become weak. They are married off then their wives have to go through same series of insult, and accusation. The wives have to bare the fact that their hubby is useless with no pride. All this is cause of brewing family tension..
Mann and Geet brought that out by teaching Lucky to stand for himself. Feel good about himself. He has been taught not to give up despite all odds. Fight for what is his. If we don't give people responsibility and chance how will they improve. Just because he doesn't keep serious face and has fun doesn't mean he can't do stuff. Each of us has our own way of doing things.
