Hi guys😊
So yeah,I was planning to start writing some FF's after my exams,which end on the 22nd, but I got bored while I was revising and somehow ended up writing this oneshot😊
Its my first attempt at writing a ff so I hope its not too bad or too boring😊
Either way,just thought I'd share it so here it is.
Please comment,all criticisms welcome😊
I hope that I'll soon be able to write longer stories so please let me know where I can improve so that I can write those better😊
So here it is:
RING RING RING RING
Arohi opened her eyes slowly,wincing as the glaring sunlight from the window shined right into her eyes. She sighed and rolled over to turn her alarm clock off. As she pressed the button,her eyes suddenly focussed on the time.
10:05am.
Her eyes widened.
"Oh My God!"
She was late. Very late. There was a meeting this morning scheduled for 10am and she was still lying in bed! She leapt up and ran into the bathroom.
She got to work and rushed in to the meeting room,only to find just Arjun sitting there,reading a file and drinking coffee. Arjun looked up from the file and seeing Arohi,out of breath and looking confused,smirked at her.
''Has the meeting finished?! Where is everyone?!"
Arohi half shouted at Arjun.
Arjun put down the file and his coffee and got up from the chair. He leaned back against the table crossing his arms and smirked at her before saying,
"the meeting is at 11am. It's only 10.25"
Arohi looked even more confused and said
"no,the meeting was scheduled for 10am. Yesterday, Mr Gupta clearly told both of us that the meeting is at 10am sharp and not to be late.''
Arjun then rolled his eyes and said, as if he was explaining something to a 5 year old,
"yes but then the clients phoned this morning and asked to move the meeting up an hour as their MD's flight from Singapore had been delayed."
Arjun stopped speaking and started smirking again as he watched the confused expression on Arohi's face quickly change into a furious one.
"Why didn't anyone tell me! I thought I was late! I was running! I..."
Arohi stopped shouting as she saw that Arjun had turned to the other side,clearly shaking with silent laughter.
"You! You annoying,idiotic,selfish.."
With each insult,Arohi took a step forward towards Arjun,dropping the bag and folder that she had been carrying on the floor as she stretched her hands forward in a strangling motion. Arjun was still turned away,facing the table,now laughing out loud.
"...arrogant,hideous monster!"
Arohi yelled as she lunged across the 2 feet between them,intent on strangling him. At the same moment, Arjun stopped laughing and turned saying
"hideous?!? That's completely..."
He stopped speaking as he simultaneously caught Arohi against him and crashed backwards onto the table.
Arohi grunted in pain as she lay on top of Arjun,her previous plan to strangle him forgotten for a moment. Arjun just lay there,wincing slightly as he felt pain when he laid his head back against the table. He then looked forward as he felt movement against his chest. He froze,staring at the face before him. Arohi had just started to lift her head from his chest. Her face was just inches away from his,her hair falling wildly around her onto his chest. Arohi,whose eyes were shut,slowly tried to lift herself up but felt her waist restrained by something strong. She opened her eyes and felt a shiver go through her as she saw Arjun's dark eyes staring right into hers. They found themselves unable to look away,both seeing a fiery heat within eachother's eyes. Arjun watched as the look of desire in Arohi's eyes blazed until they suddenly changed into another look he knew all too well.
"Damn it,she's angry again."
His thought was confirmed as Arohi suddenly pushed herself up out of his arms and,the thought that she was straddling him only crossing her mind for a second, started raining her fists down on his chest,yelling
"you idiot! You could have phoned me! Or left a message! Or even emailed me! You're so selfish! Dont you ever think of anyone else! You horrible..."
She screamed as Arjun suddenly flipped them over,grabbing her hands and pinning them above her head. Arohi gasped as his weight crushed her slightly. Seeing this, Arjun lifted himself but still lay close above her,his face an inch above hers. He huskily whispered
"I left you a message"
and then he was kissing her. Arohi moaned and kissed him back fiercely. She tried to free her hands so that she could wrap her arms around his neck but he just held them tighter. So she arched her back,pressing against him as closely she could. Arjun moaned and tore his lips off hers. He leaned down,his forehead against her own.
"Not fair"
he panted,his eyes smouldering as he gazed down at her.
"What's not fair?"
Arohi breathlessly whispered.
"You know I love it when you do that and you know I can't do anything about it here".
Arohi now smirked at him and, putting on an innocent face, asked
"When I do what? This?"
and she arched into him again. Arjun moaned before he could help himself and then glared at her. Arohi laughed softly and said
"serves you right for not waking me up"
Arjun then grinned at her and said
"But what kind of husband would I be if I didn't let my gorgeous wife sleep in a little,especially after keeping her up all night"
Arohi blushed,moments from the night before flashing through her mind. Arjun,seeing her blush, grinned and leaned down,giving her a slow, sweet kiss. He let go of her hands as he brought his own to wrap around her waist. Arohi sighed blissfully into the kiss and wrapped one hand around his neck,stroking the back of it while the her other hand ran through his hair. Arjun moaned and started trailing his lips down her neck.
"Oh not again!"
Arjun and Arohi immediately froze. A second passed and Arjun leapt up,quickly straightening his clothes as he turned to face the voice. Arohi did the same,pulling her shirt down from where Arjun had started untucking and lifting it.
Mr Gupta looked exasperatedly at the two frazzled people in front of him,one looking sheepish while the other blushed.
"How many more times do I have to walk in on you for you to learn! This is the fourth time this month! Honestly! If this was anyone else,they would been fired the first time! What do you have to say for yourselves?"
Mr Gupta said looking at the pair sternly.
Arjun and Arohi both looked down and said a now well-practiced line,
"sorry sir,it won't happen again."
"Good. Now both of you go to your office. I will be coming in a minute to discuss the meeting before we come back here at 11 and I better see you both ready and waiting! Now go!"
Arjun and Arohi picked up their stuff and walked towards the door looking like scolded young children.
Mr Gupta and his new assistant,who had been standing next to him watching the whole thing shocked,watched them leave. They watched through the glass walls as Arjun,as soon as he and Arohi got near to their shared office,sneaked a hand around Arohi's waist and went in to kiss her. The assistant smiled as Arohi slapped his hand away and gestured towards the meeting room,shaking her head. Arjun pouted and seeing this, Arohi laughed and went inside the office. They watched as Arjun stood outside the door pouting until he suddenly grinned and a hand came out of the office and grabbed his tie,pulling him into the office.
"please let them remember to close the door!"
Mr Gupta sighed wearily. The office door then slammed shut.
The assistant turned towards Mr Gupta,confusion and shock written all over her face. Mr Gupta sighed,shaking his head as he went to sit in a chair.
"These two! Honestly! It's been almost 2 years since they got married and still,they act like newlyweds!"
The assistant looked at him confused and said
"but sir,why are you so lenient on them? You said it yourself,anyone else would have been fired?"
Mr Gupta then looked up and the assistant was surprised to see he looked sheepish himself!
"Well,you see...its all my fault! When they first joined 3 years ago,they hated eachother! Always fighting,never had a good thing to say to one another! But it was me who saw their animosity for what it really was...unresolved sexual tension! One day, I'd had enough of their arguing so I locked them in their office together and left them there overnight! I had hoped they would talk and work out their problems. Needless to say,when I walked in the next morning..."
He trailed off looking embarrassed as he remembered what he saw...
*Flashback*
He unlocked the door and opened it quietly,half expecting both Arjun and Arohi to start shouting at him. But as he walked inside,he couldn't see anyone there. He was just about to leave when he suddenly heard a giggle. Confused,he called out
"Arohi? Arjun?"
Suddenly Arjun's head popped up from behind the sofa on the left side of the room. He had a confused look on his face as he looked around but when he saw Mr Gupta,his eyes widened. Mr Gupta looked at Arjun,his own eyes wide and surprised.
"Arjun,what are you doing behind the sofa? Are you ok? Where's Arohi?"
he asked worried. Arjun then blushed and started stuttering
"n-n-nothing...I mean...I'm not doing anything."
"But where's Arohi?"
Arjun again blushed.
"she's here."
"Where?!"
Arjun then looked down next to him and pulled something,or rather someone up. Arohi peeked out from behind the sofa,only her blushing face visible.
"I'm here sir"
she said looking embarrassed. It was then Mr Gupta realised that Arjun wasn't wearing a shirt.
"Arjun,what happened to your shirt? And what happended to your neck,all those marks..?"
Arjun looked confused for a moment as he said
"marks?"
He felt up his neck with his hand and, feeling the numerous bites and scratches,smirked and looked towards Arohi,who blushed bright red. Mr Gupta suddenly realised then what was going on.
"Oh!"
He exclaimed turning away embarrassed.
"Uh...sorry...I..I'll just go and wait outside..."
and he left embarrassed but with a smile on his face,thinking how his plan has worked even better than he expected!
*End of Flashback*
"So you see,I can't really tell them off more than that because I'm the one who made it start."
Mr Gupta stopped talking as he caught sight of the time.
"Oh god,the client is going to be here any second! Go tell those two lovebirds to come here straightaway!"
he said the last part fondly,smiling to himself.
"yes sir."
Said the assistant and she headed off towards their office.
"But knock first!"
