Shobhna, Vijay, Jagmohan, Kaveri and Laxmi are shocked on learning that Harsukh had assigned the responsibilities of running the business to Laxmi. Vijay makes his displeasure very clear to Jagmohan.
Jagmohan decides to consult the family lawyer. Jagmohan stops Vijay from attending the meeting saying he wanted to talk alone.
Jagmohan expresses his surprise and shock at Harsukh's decision. The lawyer hands over a letter addressed written by Harsukh. In the letter Harsukh explains his reason for handing over the responsibility of running the business to Laxmi.
After his meeting with the advocate, Jagmohan announces he was in agreement with Harsukh's decision. Kaveri and Laxmi are surprised while Vijay and Shobhna storm out of the room.
Jagmohan gives Laxmi to decide if she wanted to shoulder the responsibilities. Jagmohan tells her he would be happy if she accepted the responsibility.
Unsure whether to accept the responsibility or not, Laxmi consults Baa. Unaware of the reson behind Laxmi's dilemma, Baa advices that often others were better judges of one's capabilities. Baa also asks her to accept the responsibility.
