Yes Shree gets to know her biological parents. Shree calls Meena as aunty and
Gayathri says " no, you have to call her amma" (ithanai varushamaa maraichu
vaippenga??? At some point you should have told her the truth !!) Well, much drama happens...Roja kku paarkkavum ezhuthavum no pOrumai !!! Gaythri cries...cries...
and it is Shrinivasan who performs the ritual. Gayathri gets up to do the proverbial
" uniting hands " Shree is shocked and runs to her room crying. The younger jing
bang which is seated upstairs gets to know the story.
Gayathri and a crying Meena go upstairs . Shree is also crying - Roja's drawing room
got flooded - as it is inge semai mazhai !!! - Meena takes a snap of Shree and cries -
finally Shree calls her amma. Athukkulle Roja kku thookkame vanthuduthu !!! Palli
and Vethu vettu Karthi meet Mechanic Karthik and Selva. VV Karthik says that it is

Mechanic Karthik goes to Selva's house. He has an envelope in his hand. Outside, Gopi is returning home. He is moaning over the fact that he has to somehow find Rs. 1 lakh. He sees MK's bike outside his house (how can they afford to rent such a big house?), and thinks that he can ask MK for the money, but his daughter will not allow this. He decides to eavesdrop instead, hears MK telling Selva to keep an envelope containing Rs. 1 lakh (how did he get the exact amount?) for safe keeping. Apparently, it is the collection for the past week, as well as the money from the workshop, and he tells her to keep it in the bureau. She tells him she is afraid to keep so much money at home, and tells him to come early in the morning and deposit it in the bank. Gopi hides from MK's eyes and thinks that God is odaichifying the bureau and giving him money.
Karthi is walking up and down and thinking of Shree and his conversations with her (vera velai illiaye, idhuvaadhu seyyalaam!) and the letter she wrote. He calls Shreenath and tells him he wants to come and see Shree, but is hesitant. He would like to talk to her and apologize, so Shreenath says he will go and get her. When Shreenath goes to get her, she is praying so he does not disturb her and goes back to the phone and tells Karthi the same. Karthi decides to go and see her directly.
Karthi goes down and Palli stops him, Where are you going, why are you going, and so on. (I thought one wasn't supposed to ask such questions of a person going out, but such rules don't apply to Palli, obviously!) When he tells her he is going to see Shree, she decides to accompany him, because she thinks he will sodappufy when he talks to her (and she is so good at talking and explaining!). She says that RR told her not to go with Karthi, but she has decided to go with him (when does she ever listen to anyone? This woman is so annoying I just can't stand her and her arrogant behavior.)
Gayathri is in the kitchen. Shreenath comes and tells her about Karthi coming over. Shrinivasan says he will make them sit down and fix the date for the wedding and then they can tell RR and Palli. The bell rings, Karthi and Palli at the door. Shreenath invites them in (and the shameless Palli goes inside - has she forgotten all the language she has used in the past. Does she have even an ounce of shame in her body>?). Palli freely tells them also that RR told her that Karthi should meet Shree first, but since he was hesitating to meet Shree, she has decided to come with him (who cares about the husband, anyway? Wednesday 8th June 2011 Episode 289
Shreenidhi comes all smiles to Karthik. Karthik is jolted with a voice asking Shreenidhi to come down - Gayathri's. It was his dream. Shreenidhi walks down the stairs with a stern face. (aahaa Palli unakku super archanaithaan today) Palli lowers her eyes. Shreenidhi is asked to come down - both of them have come to see her. Shreenidhi just comes and stands there. Palli tells that Shreenidhi must be angry with her and that is justified (unakku adha solla kooda thagudhi kedayaadhu - height of VMSSlessness ivathaan) Palli is sorry from the bottom of her heart (only says so - doesnt seems so) she didnt know that Shreenidhi was Selvi (what if she was not? would you have changed your behaviour?) and had abused her. When she knew the truth the pain she underwent is known only to God. Shreenidhi doesnt show any reaction. Palli continues - everyday she cried for being the reason behind Shreenidhi getting lost from both her natural and foster parents. Shreenidhi was scared because of Palli but now even if the world is against it Palli will go ahead with the marriage. Karthik is yours she promises with all smiles, taking Shreenidhi's hands.
Shreenidhi pulls her hand away. Are you done with your talking Shreenidhi questions Palli or anything in reserve. Gayathri tries pacifying Shreenidhi (for what?) Shreenidhi asks her mother to keep quiet, have to talk to the queen she tells sarcastically. Karthik & Palli - I dont know what to make of that look. Shreenidhi calls Palli - Madam. Recalls whatever she spoke the other day standing in the same place. She hasnt forgotten and never will. Karthik is displeased. (how dare you) Shreenidhi cried, begged and did what not, Palli never gave in then. Same place different situations proves God Almighty.
Shrinivasan says they have reformed now, so why talk about all that (dont you people have any dignity or self respect at all) So what if she is reformed now asks Shreenidhi, do you expect me to fall at her feet? Cannot do it. Palli gets a dose of her own medicine . Palli was the one to accuse Shreenidhi equal to a gutter and now says Shreenidhi is sandal - and people expect me to keep quiet and lap it all up. Should I have feelings, should I be a doll she questions her parents. Gayathri tells that Palli never spoke that way, it is all in Shreenidhi's thoughts. (this lady is just..) After knowing about them Shreenidhi wants to stay away, why is her mother trying to impose a good opinion about them she wonders. Shreenath asks Shreenidhi to listen. Listen to what, come and go as Palli pleases? What did they think her to be - a human or something else? Karthik asks Shreenidhi to stop. Says Palli is his mother (you should hang yourself for that sole reason) That is why did not ask you people to get out finishes Shreenidhi. Karthik drags Palli out of there in a huff. Gayathri cries saying Shreenidhi spoilt everything. Shreenidhi has a tinge of tears but moves away.
MK arrives on his bike. Selva awaiting his arrival at her doorstep. (Eljay you are right - the house would cost a bomb) Says she couldnt sleep in peace. Asks MK if he wants breakfast, he just wants coffee, is served coffee. He asks for Gopi, appa did not even have breakfast, left in the morning to meet someone. Has he got some regular job is MK's doubt. No one would dare give him a job, usually he goes out after breakfast but today out early. MK asks Selva to get the money, he would drop her on the way to the bank. Selva goes in to find the money missing. Shouts for MK. MK is told no one entered the room except for her father. And he too didnt know about the money. MK searches once again and tells must be her father looked for some small change but hit a jackpot. Hence left early in the morning. He goes out to look for Gopi asking Selva to wait at home (cant she go to work on her own)
Karthik & Palli reach home. Sivakami & Manju (think I got the name right) welcome them, Manju asks what did "aNNi" tell? Sivakami shuts Manju and asks about it. Nalla mariyaadhai tells Karthik. Palli shuts him up and tells she will tell about her DIL. Shreenidhi was very happy to see them, did not know the amount of love she has on Karthi. Karthik is stunned hearing Palli's version. Sivakami looks at the cute pillayar there, and is happy that Shreenidhi has forgiven Palli as per Sivakami's prayers. Sivakami begins her plans for the wedding, Manju starts reading out the lagna pathrigai and laughs. Palli & Karthik with a SBT look. RR comes from inside. Says he came half hour ago. Why did Palli accompany Karthik he wants to know. Palli tells her own version, showing her back to RR. The look on Karthik's face shows that it is all false. RR says he knows his Palli (enakku appadiyE unna kolai paNNanum pOla irukku) asks for the truth. Karthik with Palli's permission tells whatever happened. Palli cries. Karthik says they were shamed by Shreenidhi . (you deserve more than what she said)

RR sits down beside a weeping Palli (those are crocodile tears, RR! Had Shree not been Selvi, would this arrogant woman have changed her mind?) Karthi tells him what actually happened, and Palli sobs again over why this should have happened and what will happen to Karthi's marriage now? Her mother consoles her that eventually everything will be okay and the marriage will take place (have you forgotten the simple matter about RR and his two wives coming to light if you arrange a marriage in this family?).
Gopi and the two guys in the police station. Gopi is cracking some jokes, saying that he doesn't know the two guys, then amending it to say he knows only one guy but the Inspector asked if he knew them both, he is an educated guy, he is a BA ... Fail! The Inspector fails to be amused, asks where he got the money from, did he steal it, Gopi admits that he got it from his SIL to be, the Inspector calls MK and asks him to come to the station.
MK goes to the station, and Gopi hides behind one of the guys. The inspector tells him not to hide like a woman, and Karthik agrees that it is his Mama, he is going to marry Gopi's daughter, and the Inspector tells him about the money doubling scheme. He says that Gopi was going to waste your hard earned money, and he wants to put him in jail, but MK says that he gave the money to Gopi. The Inspector knows that he is doing this to save Gopi and releases him anyway. MK takes him home, which he dreads because he knows he is going to get an earful from SR. He is grateful his wife is away.
MK takes Gopi home, and tells SR all. She is furious, says he could just as well have left him there and let him experience jail life. That may have straightened him. Gopi looks ashamed.

Gayathri boils milk, adds sugar and takes it upstairs to Shree (nalla devoted amma, I would have yelled out to them to come and get it! On the other hand, she is only a screen mother, doesn't have to do it all the time, nor does she have to clean her dishes!). RR also takes milk to Karthi on the bald upstairs. Both ask their children why they are going hungry, how long will they do it, RR tells Karthi that his mother was responsible for hurting Shree, and Gayathri tells Shree that it is very bad to not forgive a person asking for forgiveness, but instead wound them some more. Finally, both are advised to meet and talk about it, both say they are trying to forget the other, and both end up not drinking the milk (maadikku kondu ponadhu thaan michham!)
Anu's house - Nivedha gets a phone call, she goes to her room, closes the door and answers, thinking it is Adhi. Actually, it is some other friend of hers, but Anu has heard the name Adhi, so she goes to the door and eavesdrops. Santhosh sees her eavesdropping, tells her that it is wrong, Nivedha comes out, asks if she was eavesdropping, Anu asserts her maternal rights, Nivedha says that no matter what, she is going to marry Adhi and if he marries someone else, she won't be alive. Manju also joins the fray, Santhosh slaps her for being the one to tattle on him, Anu hits Nivedha, basically a free for all (what a dysfunctional household!). Manju tells Anu to call Daddy, Anu says don't tell him all this, he is already mind broken (manasu udainju irukkaar!) thanks to Santhosh, don't tell him all this and make him more nondhufied. She wrings her hands in despair (adhu oNNU thaan unakku theriyum, why don't you insist on your wonderful hubby doing some of his share of parenting? The reason your family is like this is because of your hubby's double dealing).

He stops, greets Palli, she asks him why he doesn't come to her house any more, he says he is looking for a job, some of his business ventures (like blackmailing!) failed. She tells him to help MK, he says he doesn't want to work for his SIL. She tells him to get MK and SR married soon, he tells her that it is in her hands, they will marry only after Karthi and Shree get married, so it is up to her to get Karthi married soon to Shree. Palli is pensive.
Temple - Shree and Gayathri are worshiping. They sit down in one area, and Paati who has come to the temple, sees them. She greets them, asks Gayathri why she seems upset and Gayathri tells her that she will tell her everything but not in the temple. Paati agrees, and says they can all go to her house from there. Paati goes in to worship, and right then, Palli also comes to the same temple (adhaan, indha periya Chennaile orey oru temple thaaney irukku!). She comes up to Gayathri and Shree, Gayathri greets her but Shree remains silent and then says that she is going to the car and will her mother please follow? Paati is watching all this with a satisfied look on her face, and when Palli goes near her, turns around and says loudly, I said that even if she is agreeable, will the other person be agreeable to all this? Palli knows what she is talking about, and looks sad (if such a thing is possible for her!) Paati looks triumphant.
