I didn't really get too excited by the first and second episodes. The most impressive person so far was the lead singer of the Rajasthani folk group. The old couple duet was pretty good. Amit was gimmicky in my opinion. His dancing skills covered up well for his singing skills. He was decent in singing but that song was hardly difficult. I think he will disappoint. Indian Idol 5 was definitely better but I guess these people are just sorting things out so I expect they will get better with time.

She, sushruta ji, the concept of the show is not similar to that of Indian Idol, so do not expect brilliant singers to come in. There will be more mediocre singers than in II. However easy it maybe, it is exceedingly difficult to sing and dance at the same time will maintaining the tempo of the song in place. But anyways, let's see what happens in the later rounds. He did impress me in FG, unfortunately was unfairly voted out by his fellow contestants(FG had such a lame concept!)

I haven't watched other x-factor shows so I don't know the format very well.

I agree it's difficult to sing and dance but I feel Amit has practiced that song with that dance for a long time. I am not saying he's bad but I look for solidity before getting carried away. He might turn out to be good in which case I will be the first to applaud him😆

As for Indian Idol and X-factor comparison, I just thought that Indian Idol had better production and better management of the auditions compared to X-factor so far. But the Delhi auditions were already better and apparently today was pretty good too so I can see it picking up😃
