I hated today's epi. Really hated it. I hate Priya's character. I hate RD for keeping quiet. I hate Devyani for being such an ignorant, dysfunctional and delusional woman. I hate Vidya for being so innocent. I hate Uttara for being so naive. I hate Aditya for being so one-dimensional. I hate Brahma for being who he is.
And the biggest problem? THEY DON'T SEEM TO EVOLVE/GROW/CHANGE. I thought this story was all about four women steadily realizing that they need to take a stand for their rights and for what they deserve. But what do we have? Four women regressing more and more into their inward dysfunction with each passing episode. Devyani is still the weakest. Vidya is still the dumbest and the most naive. Uttara has become useless. And what do I say about Priya? She has let me down big time. When this show started, few weeks down the line there was a scene where Priya yells at a Auto-rickshaw driver for alleging her of indecency in front of everyone. While watching that scene, I kept thinking to myself, 'wow, this is the first female character that seems to have some metal' - but my prediction proved to be wrong and how. She is just another one of the 100 billion other female characters on TV, who preach about the importance of their family and tolerate all sorts of shit for it yada yada yada yada.
Writers and Creatives - how original! no, really. In other shows, we have seen women brush issues like infidelity, wrong allegations, crimes (like murder) etc under the carpet. But you guys have pushed the envelope and made female characters brush an issue like rape and molestation under the carpet! Bravo
I'm taking a break from this show until it gets back on track and gets it's sheen back.
