Meh. Okay. I just died and came back to life two seconds ago, so don't expect my post to make much sense. On a serious note, though, this is extremely unfair and absolutely appreciated. Giving us Tasha sugar overloads when we'll never get to see this intensity and intimacy on-screen ever again... unfair and very much appreciated, because I loved every second of it. As much as I wish that I could see the scene play out with Mishal and Mahhi, I still experienced the scene as alive and powerfully intense as if it'd been played out on-screen.
Thank you so much to the writers for finally giving us the Tasha-in-character that I've personally been missing since January 2011. Everyone would probably disagree with me, but there were very few and rare moments during March 2011 that I felt Tasha were in character and where I felt that their scenes touched me/were intense. I can easily count those scenes on one hand, even though Tasha were in every episode throughout March. I just didn't feel they were Tasha. Can't explain it.
Their dialogues seemed off to me. Their scenes didn't feel intense/interesting and there was just something essential missing. I didn't feel anything, except for a few scenes; 1) the scene behind the rock when they put their foreheads together after escaping Sudarshan, 2) the scene under the tree where Dutta asked Naku to say her full name and then say his full name, 3) the scene where he threw a wooden stick at her and pinned her pallu to the wall (although Mahhi was kind of bland in that scene), 4) the scene where they ate gajjar ka halwa and he teased her, 5) the scene in the tent where he hugged her before going off with Bhola...
But with these recent episodes and tonight's (especially) I feel that we have really gotten our Tasha back in character, full powerhouse intensity. This is the feeling I have been missing for the past three months. This Tasha feeling that has a little of everything in it; sweetness, innocence, a pure form of passion, intensity, unique and beautiful intimacy that takes moments so cliche (like standing in front of a mirror with your husband behind you) and turns it into something only Tasha can pull off as original and beautiful. Hats off to the writers.
This is the kind of Tasha romance that was happening in October 2010. Recalling the shart-scene and payal-scene, for instance. That romance was Tasha. That sweet and pure intensity of their intimate moments (be it physical proximity or eye-locking), it is what Tasha are about - at their very core. And it's what I was missing during the JMM2 track. We were given an overload of Tasha scenes, but they felt magic-less to me. Bland. Boring. Except for the five already mentioned.
Okay, back to the episode aired tonight.
I loved, absolutely loved, Dutta's dialogues and actions. The way that he came in and stood behind her with his chin on her shoulder, the way that he wanted to put that necklace on her, the way that he kissed her cheek and held her, the way that he stared at her through the mirror - it was all so beautiful. But the most beautiful part was how he once again said the most unexpected thing; that he looks good when she is with him, that he looks complete when she is standing with him...
I had not expected that. It made this moment even more beautifully unique, because I had expected him to say what every other Indian hero has said on TV in a moment such as this, which is "you look stunning/beautiful". I should've learned by now that one of the strongest traits of LTL is how it takes something cliche and turns it into something utterly unique - surprising you. Like Dutta surprised us during the Suresh track.
Naku's shyness yet playfulness in the scene was just TO DIE FOR. That was so Naku right there. Even in the shart-scene back in October, Naku flirted back, but with a coyness mixed with shyness to her mannerism. Same happened here. Beautiful π³
HE ALMOST KISSED HER π² π³ And I almost fell off my chair. Once again, Dutta surprises me. For a moment I was like "oh my god, are you for real?" and then I just thought of how much changed Dutta is with Naku - that boyish behaviour of his that we had all thought was gone for good, it comes back threefold.
He flirts. Dutta Bhau flirts *swoons*
I love the change in him as soon as he steps into his bedroom and sees Naku. I mean, it's like a whole other world to him. He switches from Bhau to simply Dutta. And it's that switch that would've been a treat to watch on Mishal's face π Uff, the pain of knowing what could have been...
I HATE YOU COLORS. DIE!
Ahem. I'm over it. Don't worry about me *sniffs*
Roops interrupted them just as things were getting reeeal interesting π Now tell me how I wasn't surprised about that? Because as unpredictable as LTL can be, the one thing that's always predictable is someone interrupting Tasha just as things are heating up. I really loved the Dutta-Roops moment though. Missed that, too. The way he warned her and then chased her out of his room - only to have her returning and teasing him again.
As if everybody downstairs won't know what's taking Tasha so long π There's one thing about Tasha that will never change; they're the epitome of the word "obvious". They just don't know how to be discreet with their gazing and silently romancing etc. Everyone always notices that's something's going on between them π π³ Which makes them that much more innocent at heart.
Sigh.
Tonight's episode was such a treat π Melted my heart. Loved it.
Now, I have a feeling that something bad's gonna happen soon π Just as Tasha get a bit of happiness, something always happens. This jashn seems fishy, too π€’ What's up with NS? What's he planning?
Oh, before ending this essay (so terribly sorry for rambling on and on and on), does Naku know how to slow dance? π Otherwise, she can always stand on her Saab's feet. I'm sure Tasha could take this cliche scene and make it ONE OF A KIND π
