As Deepika Padukone's The Intern remake stays under wraps, top Korean actress and actor confirm film

Bollywood buffs were excited when Deepika Padukone announced the remake of The Intern. The original Hollywood movie is a commercial and critical success. While she is yet to make any concrete announcement about the movie, the shoot of the Korean version has begun. Actress Han So-hee and Choi Min Shik are playing the main roles. There were rumoured to step in for the Korean version since a long time. But now, it is confirmed that the shoot for the same has begun. In the Hollywood movie, Robert De Niro and Anna Hathaway played the main characters. It was a hit even in South Korea, which led to the idea of a remake. In the past, we have seen South Korean remakes of Money Heist and Narcos – Saints.

It seems as per the Korean Film Council’s updates on official page, the production of the movie is in the pre-shoot stage. The shoot of the movie will start from September. Han So-hee is stepping into the shoes of Anna Hathaway. Fans have seen her in superhit Korean web series like My Name, The World of the Married, Soundtrack, Nevertheless and Gyeongseong Creature. Veteran Korean actor Choi Min-shik is essaying the Korean version of Ben Whittaker. Viewers of Korean shows have seen in Oldboy, Exhuma, I Saw the Devil and Big Bet to name a few.
