I agree with what you're suggesting, except there's one problem. The whole reason Priya is tryiing to rush the consumation is because SSP has threatened to break them up, permanently. Each day that Priya doesn't get closer to him, she gets farther away from him (I don't mean closer physically, but in all ways possible - emotionally, physically). Also, sometimes, being a silent spectator enhances, or rather, deepens, the separation. And those who want to take advantage can. Till the SSP didn't know about this issue, it was fine for Priya to wait and let the situation take it's course. I feel she needs to intervene now, now that he is aware and ready to take advantage of teh situation.
But yes, she also needs to build the trust, love and strength in the relationship. It is VERY difficult for a girl to look at the guy responsible for such trauma, let alone live with one, hiding such a big secret. But if she has to bridge teh gap, emotionally, with Adi, she'll need to take desperate measure about bridging it, even if it means kissing SSP's behind in front of Adi to look nice. Seems like right now, the way to Adi's heart may be through teh SSP. She'll have to play his game, and beat him at it.
One other thing - folks are hating his character. Deservedly so. But if it wasn't for this ONE character, the show wouldn't be what it is. This one character is responsible for the twists in all 4 stories, individually, and also how they're interconnected. So I don't think they should take him out. He'll need to stay in to make the story interesting.
I just hope they don't kill the Uttara-Devyani relationship in teh process. I absolutely love Uttara, and her position in the house.
