Well, IMO the efforts they put in were quite superficial ... A genuine attempt would be if theytry to educate her ...But Yes..Nainaji did try ..but her's was a voice which was lost in the wilderness ..for every progress she made ..the mother members sent Komal back to square one ..and by refusing to call back Komal they just underlined the fact that they did consider Komal to be an outsider ..bec Komal had begun to change, had stood by the Sax in tthe Thappadgate and yet she was shortchanged

I agree ..That The dharam Bhrasht kaam is not done by Komal , Komal remains true to her pedigree, It was Adarsh who is responsible for this .

What you say makes it even worse ..Thakurs did it with a feeling .. a negative feeling ..but a feeling nevertheless..a feeling which albiet acknowledged Pratigya as a human, as a DIL..by ur reasoning what Saxena's did was out of indifference ..cos if there was no hate , then there was no love either ...and Indifference is the worst form of emotional abuse..

i don't think sucksenas were indifferent to komal...........they just thought that she was way too young and would not readily understand their POV as she comes from a very different background...........and i blamed adarsh for worsening the situation and also ofcourse for eating non-veg thus by spoiling his dharma..............but cooking in their kitchen was uncalled for in my POV, atleast komal could have informed them about what she is going to do..........u have to take into account the feelings of others too as the issue is rather sensitive............(from the POV of sucksenas)

but slightly has to disagree with komal's life in GH...........they, especially prof and nainaji tried their level best to make komal feel like family during the first months of her stay there...........and komal actually liked nainaji like a mother and nainaji too took care of her as if she was her daughter.........its only after the angad fiasco which forced the family not to call komal back home soon while angad blackmailed them that the relationship took a u turn.............komal thinking that they didn't care for her at all and misunderstanding their silence as dislike..........and then the next major jatka to their relation came when prof and adarsh didn't pursue the case against jai, which komal took really seriously .................but these incidents were hastily forgotten............and then this money problem came and this time it did do its work of creating a wedge between the relations............which is blown out of proportions and now we see the kitchen divided....both parties r to be blamed and mostly adarsh is to be blamed ............and also arushi and dadi who likes to strut and order ........and as far as komal being told to shut up and go to her room, they didn't do it with hatred for her or with explicit aim to harm her or taunt her like the thakurs did with P.....also K don't know about half of the things they did to P, even P don't know how many times she had escaped death .......i am not supporting the sucksenas here in their deeds of shutting ur bahu up every time she opens her mouth..............but merely stating that while the thakurs did it with a feeling of vengeance , sucksenas never hated komal..............

Agree that the saxena's did not hate komal, but they always looked down on her and made her a subject of fun(dadi and arushi) and naina, shamu found faults in her - compared her with their educated kids, with full support from adarsh till recently.
Yes, What the thakurs attempted on Prats is crime and evil - we all agree to that.
but what saxes do to komal is also not at all an acceptable behaviour and you would agree that no girl educated or uneducated, polished or otherwise should go through what komal had to go through in saxes house.

ofcourse, i agree 100% that komal was made fun of and treated like secondary citizen by sucksenas, but some times it was done in good humor (only some times, i agree) and when sometimes arushi went overboard nainaji used to shut her up(in the earlier days)............and we must see both the sides, komal wasn't also behaving nicely with them...........but i remember arushi making an effort to tone down her bright make up, helping her brush her hair, suggesting that komal looked good in open hair etc.............and komal too geled well with them like she was genuinely happy to learn cooking from nainaji and they forgot what they had done to each other for a long time like deliberately smoking red chillies and all that ..........the main reason for the fallout is the shortage of money due to arushi's marriage fiasco and then prof's illness and then suddenly the flow of money out of blue thanks to adarsh taking bribes and accepting SS's favor............and i condemn the every act of sucksenas whenever they had treated komal like an outsider and also like an idiot who just don't know anything.............what i am saying is that sucksenas were not horrible 'all the time' as there r many instances where komal was made to feel like a DIL in that house and there were fun moments too.............unlike with P were her life is in danger every other day...........

When Komal is given the freedom to go out and eat non-veg then i thnk she should do that..She needs to make some sort of compromise in her life...everything can't be accordng to her
Many times we justify her because of our lack of interest in the Saxenas..but honestly from day one all she has done is create chaos in that house if Pratigya is supposed to be all respectful towards the Thakurs then so should be Komal..Although i don;t blame her it is her brought up so wtt can be done.
As for the concern part of Adharsh i honestly don't blame him..For Krsihna and Pratigya to work things out it makes sense because they both love each other...But the poor man got a wife who simply wants her needs fulfilled hardly respects him or his family..The only respect she gets now is because SS got Adharsh a better which isn't fair for Komal but still how much can one expect from Adharsh...
although if he had strong opinions and not confused one as he has now then maybe it would make sense....He is always scared to bring out his veiwpoints and the day he brings them out alot of problems will be resolved.

Thank You Stranger11 ,

Agree that Saxena's consider that eating a Non-veg is a taint on their beliefs and their custome..in fact I have seen many households having a separate utensils for preping the Non-veg [ forgetting that it is the same mouth that feeds both on veg and Non-veg ) .. ..I can even understand Dadi's reaction ... [considering that the Cv's have painted her as a bigoted, narrow minded Old Lady ] ..but the words spouting out the so called sanskaari people was a bit OTT and so was the behavior and Tone of Aarushi [esp when one contrasts it with Adarsh and Pratigya's attitude] ..Secondly ..Dadi had the self same expression when Komal was having it at the restaurant too .

Everything has not been acc to Komal, Stranger ..as long as the kitchen was united ..Komal never demanded a non-veg [ discounting the initial hostile days]..it is when the kitchen was divided and when she thought that now with the divided Kitchen , she would have the freedom to eat what she wants ..At the end of the day, Stranger , palate hungers for home cooked food and not the commercially cooked food..

The two characters of Komal and Pratigya are study in contrasts...If Komal too were all respectful and sacrificing then ..there would be no difference between her and P ..it is bec Komal is portaryed as a shrew and a straight forward, blunt speaker..People appreciate Pratigya despite her vacillating stands ..I would not blame the way she was brought up entirely..she was changing for the better when the Saxena in a typical myopic way chose to keep her out of the loope forgetting that she is a member of the family ..That set her off ..and yes this was the self same rude, overbearing arrogant girl who gracefully sought the pardon of a stubborn, unreasonable Old Woman ...The potential is there ..It is entirely dependent on Saxen'as attitude how she will change ...

The Poor Man is saddled with a wife who craves his attention, his love, his support and none of which is forthcoming ..Besides the Poor Man volunteered for the Job..so he better assume responsibilities and become the Hubby and not the Son only ....I think the problems may get magnified and lead to a blow out if Adasrh genuinely stated his opinion's..cos the Sax's only like the sound of their own principles and do not have the tolerance for any derivatives or completely different POV's

No nice family will make fun of someone based on their shortfall....Humour is something could be fun for you but for the other person can be offensive...
