It had just showered in the morning... everythin seemed to look fresh and calm... It was A romantic weather for all the love birds...
5pm...at the fountain... near anton uncle's hotel... the venue was decided... everything was planned... flowers, presents n most of all, a wedding ring... he was nervous, even a blind man could tell...
n then, she came to meet him, just him... dressed in a simple salwar suit... she looked the same, but to him, she looked amazing...
"Bahut acchhi lag rahi ho..." he said with a sincere smile on his face...
she slightly blushed at his compliment which did not go unnoticed by him...
"i love u niru... " he blurted out the blue and left niru startled...
"ji???? aap yeh kya keh rahe hain... mujhe kuch samajh mein..." he places his finger on her lips...
"ssshhh... aaj sirf meri baat sunogi... haan niru, na jaane kabse, lekin yeh baat sach hai.. khud se zyada tumhe chahne laga hoon.. jahan dekhta hoon, bas tum hi tum nazar aati ho... utthe, baitthe, sothey, jaagthe... bas tum... mujhe pata nahi ke tumhe bhi yeh mehsoos hota hai ya nahi... lekin jab maine apna dil tumhe diya hai, toh yeh baat jaanne ka tumhara poora haq banta hai... "
she stared at him in disbelief... she turned away from him and said
"lekin ... lekin humare baba... hum unhe nahi chod sakte... aapse pyar karne ka matlab yeh hai ke hum apne baba ko chod dein.. hum aisa nahi kar sakte... unhone hume itne pyar se bada kiya hai, hume sapne dekhna sikhaaya hai... hum unhe kaise chod dein??? humne apne maa se aur khud se yeh vaada kiya tha ke hum na kisi se pyar karenge aur na hi kisi se shaadi... nahi.. hum aapse pyar nahi karte.."
"yehi baat meri aankhon mein dekhkar kaho niru... kya sach meion tum mujhse pyar nahi karti?? baba ki chinta mat karo.. unki zimmedari meri... woh humare saath rahenge, humare ghar par... tum bas keh do... kya tum mujhse pyaar karti ho???"
niru had no words to say.. the man in front of her was ready to accept her inspite of knowing her problems.. she was not ready for committment only because of her father, Vishwa...
Termed as a retarded old man in the village, niru had come to mumbai with a hope of seeking help from her sister, Sharda.. but she seemed to be lost in her own fancy world n cared least about other people... it was hopeless asking her sister for some help.. the next person she could reach out was the person under whom she was working, her boss, ALBELA CHAMAN... š Albela was more than happy to help niru, but wanted something else in return...
"Bas ek raat mere sang bithaalo, niraash nahi hogi.. tumhe tumhare paise mil jaayenge, aur mujhe... tum samajh raahi ho na??"
that was the last niru worked over there... but all dint end there... it seemed that Albela was used to having his way... he stalked and kept following niru for many days n kept harrassing her... he kept coming in her way... he swore not to leave her until she gave into what he wanted...
that was wen HE walked into her life.. not only did he beat albela black n blue n scare the hell outta him, but also put him behind bars for harrassing a woman at her work place... he made sure that albela never came out of there... he helped niru in finding a decent job and also helped her in whatever medication that her father required...
days passed and so did months... they became the best of friends... they shared each n every joy and sorrow... there were absolutely no secrets, no complaints, no demands... n now, here he was, standing in front of the fountain, proposing to her...
"kahan kho gayi???" he asked, wen he saw that she was lost in some other world... "yaad hai, kuch din pehle tumne mujhse kaha tha ke tumhe us khaas insaan ka intezaar hai, aur woh tumhara sapno ka rajkumar hai jo ghodi pe baithke aayega??? niru, main na rajkumar hoon, na hi mere paas daulath-shauhrat hai... kuch de sakta hoon,to woh hai mera dil, jo sirf aur sirf tumse pyar karta hai.. toh bolo... haan ya na??? agar tum na bhi bolti ho, toh mujhe kuch zyada dukh nahi hoga... humari dosti waisi ki waisi hi rahegi... bas is sawaal ka jawab do niru... mujhse pyar karti ho ya nahi??? mere saath zindagi bitaane ke liya tayaar ho ya nahi??? bolo niru... "
she looked into his eyes.. they were full of hope.. n then she went into her past.. all those events flashed before her eyes... how he saved her from albela, how he had helped her and her father, how he had become her baba's dost...
"bolo niru... tumhara jawab jaanna bahut zaroori hai... kyunki main ... "
"haan..." niru said...
"kya???" he wasnt sure whether whst he heard was right... "tum mujhse pyar karti ho?? matlab tum bhi wahi mehsoos karti ho jo main karta hoon??? main maai se jaake bol doon ke woh humari shaadi ki tayaari kare???"
he seemed to be really excited... but then wen he looked at her, she jus smiled
"mere paas apne feelings ko bayaan karne ke liye shabd nahi hai... tum sacch keh rahi ho na??? kahin tum yeh sab isliye toh nahi keh rahi ho taaki mere dil ko takleef na pahunche??? kahin tum..."
she cut him off and spoke
"nahi aisi koi baat nahi... hum sach mein aapse pyar karti hoon, SARJA... saccha pyar... aap apni ma ko jaake keh dijiye ki humne shaadi ke liye haan keh di..."
Sarja knelt down on his knees and said "Nirupama, kya mujhse shaadi karogi????" he asked for her hand in one hand, and held the ring in another... she gently placed her delicate hand in his... and as he slipped the ring in her finger, he kissed her hand... she smiled at this gesture of his.. this romantic side of sarja was new to her...
He stood up and asked her, "Niru, Ghar chalein??? maai ko humare baare mein batana hai..." Sure his happiness knew no bounds...
"Aap chaliye, hum aapse shaam ko milte hain... humein kuch kaam hai..."
"thik hai niru... phir shaam ko main ghar aaunga... chaupaati pe vada paav khaane chalenge.." he winked at her...
she smiled n he walked away with that smile on his face n brightness in the eyes... he was in love n she loved him too...
n as niru saw him walkin away happily, she turned n walked away with some thought on her mind... n as she thought of it, she smiled to herself...
