even i love to do everything myself..i got the same atmosphere in my parent's house ...apart frm being dependent on servants, i hate it when girls leave their children to maids...maid culture is spoiling their childhood...they never get into the habit of doing anything with their own hands ! i was shocked to hear it frm my child that she feels bad she doesn't have a maid while all other kids have 😆
after watching varsha yest. i'm sure therez no depression 😆 she's more than happy doing all the work herself while someone else takes care of ananya...she has the freedom to go wherever she wants and she has her whole life for it...the first few months, the baby needs his mother the most...the reason vishambhar asked rajshri to get busy with the household work was that he wanted to divert her attention...since she doesn't socialize or work, the best job for housewives is to look after the kitchen and house ! varsha is overdoing it, not exactly, but we feel that way coz it's natural for a mother to get worried when she hears her daughter crying..but here, varsha chose to make gujia instead of finding out why she's crying 😆

Well maybe versha has seen signs in rajshri thats maybe she is i=on the risk of PND😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆 Daadi getting PND thats something
i agree with you about too many girls leaving the kids to maids its old British customs like kids are dumped on nannys and they only come dressed like toys to say g/night to mum dad, while mum dad are so busy doing nothing but playing cards partys and what ever. its heppening in so call high socity of indian citys well i have left india 31 yrs ago but did visit my parents and exitended family and now days i seen this, here in australia kids are suppose to be in child car seats when they are in cars, thats the law but in india there is no law so mother can have child in her lap but, mothers dont like the babys in laps as there sari or suit or jeans will get dirty so maid is there to give child the lap.
oh so you are gulati bahu from gulati sari center????

i remember the moment she met jimmy, she did all his work na....giving him food playing with him that too when she was 7 months pregnant......
i am not comparing bringing up a baby to taking care of a pet.....bringing up a child is the biggest n the toughest task for anybody. What i am trying to compare is her attitude in the two situations.....
n i suppose the reason for this is her supporting family especially rajshri....for jimmy she had no support as such so she adjusted to doing all this work but here she has found an escape route in rajshri n she is taking full advantage.
again as i say i find that she is unwilling to learn!like putting ananya tio sleep...theek hai first time she was confused or didn't know to rajshri helped but iska kya matlab hua ki everytime u go to ur saas n say "put my daughter to sleep plz, i will do all the other work"🤢atleast she should try to learn. Here rajshri too shud take the initiative n try to make her learn these things of course calmly n lovingly( anyways she can never be a strict saas 😆)

Varsha kaam chor tho nahi hai coz she was helping out in the kitchen. Neither do I think she has no feelings for the kid coz they have expressed on more than one occasion that she cares. I am not a fan of papita nor am I defending her behavior but it's not unusual for new moms to dump their babies on their mothers (m-i-l in this case).

Bonding with Jimmy was a different case it was before the delivery. Once a woman gives birth, body does take a beating & affects you emotionally. I am sure moms here can vouch for that. A weak body essentially means a weak mind. She is not clinically depressed for sure. She probably doesn't mind doing the other work but the crying probably irritates her. In such situations, it's best that someone else handles the baby rather than Varsha take it out on the child. Yes, as a mother she is responsible for her child but most often you do need that extra help immediately after child birth coz both mind & body are compromised. She probably doesn't even realize that she is neglecting the child.

She is a mother & will surely come around. No two ways about that. As much as I detest Varsha's character I think she isn't a bad person. She has been a good wife; she has handled her sasural very well. Has she been manipulative? Yes! But never nasty, she has done her share of good deeds too for their family. She is a go getter; she knows what she wants & gets it. I am absolutely loving the way Rajsri is shown to be so understanding.....👏 Lucky Varsha.........Let's hope this is just a passing phase in a new mom's life & not another Varsha manipulation........

absolutely ! but "usually" new moms r overpossessive, over caring and over cautious about their children which varsha is not 😆 i mean c'mon just see it for yourself why the baby is crying..she can do that much..baaki toh it's normal ke plz look after the baby while i do my packing...u were abs right, she came up with "ananya is missing her dadi" pretext n came back to maayka the next day..😆 not mean to say that she's manipulative or something..if u have some luxury why not use it?

waise toh i dont know much about PND.. but i feel varsha's behavior is quiet normal.. ..i mean if ders more experienced person present at ur place (like dadi, Rajshri, kaki) so ders no harm to take their help .. infact according to me they enjoy it more..as they say in marwadi " asal se jyada byas pyara hota hai"...😆 infact grandparents r more curious abt the baby n can handle them with more concern n love... their bonding is more stronger i feel..😊
