Body
Fitness ' "Fitness to me means possessing good amount of strength and stamina along with a healthy and happy mind. Being fit is very important in order to lead a good quality life.
I am not the kind of person who enjoys gym workouts. I exercise 4-5 times a week. I either go for brisk walks or walk on the treadmill. I also have a cycle at home so I do 30 minutes of cardio, which helps me burn calories. I do suryanamsakars regularly, which I believe is a very effective form of exercise for the entire body. Sun salutation exercise stimulates the cardiovascular system and calms the mind.
Diet ' I believe in eating three proper meals. I also have lots of water and fluids throughout the day like tomato or fruit juices. I have coconut water daily. During summer, I eat fruits like watermelon and muskmelon to keep myself feel hydrated.
I have a healthy filling breakfast in the morning, which is either idli, dosa, puri sabji or upma. Then I have lunch, which consists of dal, veggies, rotis, rice and salad. In the evening with tea I have a toasted slice of bread and dinner is roti with veggies. When I feel hungry I avoid fried items and prefer to eat dry fruits or boiled pulses.
Mind
Stress is inevitable but one must learn to keep it at a distance. Only positive thinking helps. I unwind by listening to music and watching TV. The day I am not working I go in for a relaxing head massage and pamper myself. Believing in yourself has a lot to do with your happiness, success, and general outlook in life. I believe in myself and look at life with enthusiasm.
Spirit
I believe in God but I don't believe in following rituals. My mom has taught me to start and end my day by thanking God. The moment I open my eyes I recite a short prayer and also before sleeping I do the same. Occasionally I do visit temples and seek the Almighty's blessings.
My Motto is - life is a lot easier if you think positively; it's your thoughts that matter the most and make all the difference. Always look at the brighter side of life. Every new day is a day of new hope."
