Controversial Scandals; our guilty pleasure?!

Almost everyday, topics are posted containing scandalous news about some bollywood celeb and if lucky, a few of em even surpass 30 pages or so. Actually, come to think of it, half of the reasons ppl are attracted/attached to this forum itself is because of the controversies created by their most hated/loved celeb. That also includes fan-girls/guys coming with e-shields (retard button) to defend their celebs.

So jee, I'll confess that I too have enjoyed such controversial topics regardless of who it was on. All the things that happen in such topics ranging from fan-wars, cynical comments, drift from the topic to making up random stories and celeb mocking...I've done it too at times :P:P

I know it's not exactly "right" to do so....but I'm sure even if we don't actually participate/comment in such topics....we do end up scanning through the pages and even "liking" posts silently, watching the havoc being created while eating popcorns. 😆😆😛

Few examples to refresh our yaadein:

-Shahid-Priyanka caught together during IT raid....😃

-Ranbir's new affair *ahem* girl friend *ahem* "friend", Katrina... 😛

-Kareena-PC's 'kat-fight' .... 😛

etc. etc. etc.

Did topics like above become our guilty pleasure? Do we like it when such topics are created? Now, just to add a little substantiality...WHY do you think we like it?

PS: Go ahead and rant. Come one, come all. 😆

I don't think I'd last more than a few hours on IF if not for the juicy gossip and controversies. BUT also very important are the members. I mean if this section was filled with delusional fans then no controversy could pull me towards this section.

Eraser, I agree.

The hardcore fans are what makes it worth it to watch for a topic with their fav. There have been countless times I've come here to de-stress myself by reading some of the delusional comments at some specific forums that I shall not spill the name of....however, there have been times I cringed after reading some comments and literally wanted to band my head somewhere.

There are delusional fans and then there are delusional fans.

People like Saku only goes and worships at Birupati's altar with nary a thought for any one else. But, there are some who finds that in order to prove their loyalty to their favorite they need to tear down all other actors viciously, constantly and mindlessly. My hackles rise up when I see this pattern.

As eraser said I'm addicted to this forum only for the gossips and controversies. I find it funny when fans can go to any extent to defend their favourite celeb. The days when there is no gossip I don't log in at all! 😛 and the days when I'm too busy to even drop in into the forum...I feel restless about what I've missed... (thats a confession!)

My favourite controversial topics used to be the Ash-Abhi one and now the latest is the KABIR(as maddy prefers to call) and Deepika-Ranbir one... rest I'm not interested...and I'm not even like a real fan of any of them....so I like and dislike celebs according to my mood... :P
