What is so special about Yash Raj films? Tell me!

😆 Sorry for posting a lot of topics in quick succession, but I want to have fun since you guys are to! Ok, Yash Chopra is of course a legend and I am not disputing that. He has made legendary films and there is no question about that. But, in the last decade or so, his films have lost their appeal due to bad scripts, horrible acting, or mediocre direction. When SRK and Yash Chopra came together, they gave a series of blockbusters like DDLJ, DTPH, and so many others! But, do you think Yash Raj is better when Aditya or Yash direct the movie themselves or when other directors do films for the banner? Do you think Yash Raj films are special in general and what makes them that way? I think they are special with SRK, Hritik, and Aamir. But the worst example of a Yash Raj film going horribly wrong was probably Tashan! It didn't have SRK, Hritik, or Aamir in it. Is that why it flopped or was it due to the bad direction/acting?

nothing is special abt yrf movies
the hit ones contain A list actors coz they choose good scripts (thts wat made em A list)

YRF is considered to be a very reputed PH. They used to make all these dreamy romantic movies/family friendly movies like Karan and all the actors were pretty desperate to work with YRF. Sadly, they don't have the same clout as they did befoe..horrible scripts, focusing more on style, bad direction, bad acting has affected YRF badly.

YRF has had some pretty decent movies in the past and their TV shows are great! I've alwys wondered why they don't get the script-writers for their shows to write their movies? YRF would be back in business and how!

i liked YRF because of srk in them. 😛

I dont know, honestly speaking I never found anything great in YRF movies. Some movies were really good but I also feel some of their movies were tooo overated for example Rab ne banadi jodi (wonder what made it such big hit),etc

well i like Yrf movies b/c yrf movies has good actors like srk ............

I just like them coz of the Dhoom movies...lol...

nothing's really special, i love their tv shows more than films actually lol.
