Rani was the first choice of the film. But when she rejected the role (probably 'cause she felt it was too similar to what she'd done in Saathiya), then the project went to Ash. Ash signed up for it - so officially, ash became the leading actress of the film - but due to the Salman fiasco, could not fully commit her to the project. SRK replaced Ash without even telling her once about it, and Rani took the role without even bothering to inform Ash about it. So strange that both Rani and SRK regarded Ash as their 'friend'.
There were a whole lot of different stories that came out regarding this incident. How can you be so sure of yours? Not really. Rani herself admitted to taking Ash's role - though she feels she is 'justified' in her action because the role originally belonged to her. She totally ignores the fact that she'd already REJECTED this role before Ash took it - while Ash did NOT resign by her own consent when Rani snatched it away from her.
Because as far as I know, Ash blamed SRK for not informing her personally before he made the decision. Rani did not just show up on the sets while Ash was asked to pack up and leave.Actually Ash got to know about it from other sources. She was not aware that someone else had took over her role - she learned it from a third person, rather than her "friends".
I'm sorry, but "when Rani snatched it away from her." Like seriously?😆
Maybe you could point out what it is that you are laughing at, instead of just putting random emoticons and throwing one-liners at me for no rhyme or reason.
I am in no way taking Rani's side and I do agree that Aishwarya was treated wrongly. But I still stand by what I said. As far as I know, in all of SRK's interviews, he has always talked about or apologized because he failed to consult with Ash and never gave her a chance to explain or work out her situation with Salman. It was never because he failed to inform her that she was out of the film.
And what exactly is the difference between them? 😕 Why are words and the issue at hand being twisted? Ash was not asked before someone else took her part - she was intentionally thrown away (which is a very nice way of putting what actually happened) from a role that belonged to her. I am not sure where the confusion is coming from.
well if someone has to be blamed here, then it's SRK.
Not just him, but the entire team of Chalte Chalte who were involved in this.
what has friendship got to do with a professional matter?
Professional and personal lives overlap on many occasions, and such is the case here, especially if you put an act of being the nation's sweetheart, when in reality, you are just a manipulative and shrewd person behind the mask.
SRK was unprofessional when he did not inform ash that she had been sacked. I think connecting rani to the whole fiasco by way of her friendship with ash is way too far-fetched.
Rani IS connected with the incidence though. As for bringing their friendship at hand - well, that just reflects on their nature, doesn't it?
she was offered a role and she took it. what if it had been someone else? would that 'someone else' be blamed for not informing ash?
That someone else - if she was not as famous and acclaimed as the King and the Queen is - could have easily been thrown into the jail.besides, ash was sacked for a reason. she was in a big mess herself at that point of time. no production house wants to deal with an actress who gets her baggage of shit along. I think there are a few legal reasons to sack an actress too.
I haven't heard about that. If you sign a role, then it belongs to you and no one else. You cannot be replaced without your permission, nor can you leave the film once you sign in. And yes, informing someone via phone isn't a very difficult thing to do. It's unprofessional and unethical.
and practically it happens all the time in B-wood. people get thrown out without even a valid reason, let alone being informed before-hand.
Two wrongs doesn't make a right. Care to give some examples of them, though?
