Ranbir Kapoor, who is currently busy playing Rockstar will start work on his next role, the goofy Barfee, from March 15, in Darjeeling. Anurag Basu's much-delayed film will finally hit the floors on that date. In this film, Kapoor plays a deaf-and-mute character on screen, and will sing some of the songs that will be played in the background. Kapoor needs at least a month before he starts shooting for Barfee, but Imtiaz Ali's film, Rockstar keeps getting delayed. Now, even though a final date has been set for the shooting of Barfee, news of further delay in Rockstar is beginning to trickle in. What happens to the fate of Barfee then? Will Basu be able to wait any more? Says a source, "Ranbir is very clear that he will only start Barfee once he's done with Rockstar. He needs to completely revamp his weight, physique, body language and hair. For this he needs to finish Imtiaz's project before he goes onto Anurag's. Anurag has waited for more than year for his friend Imtiaz to finish Rockstar." "Now the producers UTV are getting impatient. Why should they wait indefinitely for the leading man to finish another project?" |
