I understand how a lot of Rani's work is overrated but honestly if they were to give this award to any female actress then who else can you possibly give it to?

A lot of the current leading ladies either just recently started getting appreciated, or just started their careers...so, you then come down to the likes of Preity, Ash, or Kajol and they all of their pros and cons as well. Thus, there really isn't much to choose from. I find a lot of Rani's work overhyped...and I honestly only liked her in Saathiya 😆, that's about it..but at least she's someone who can act (and even if one disagrees, then honestly, she has more potential than many of the current actresses)...so, I really don't find it OTT to present her with this award.
