Pragya, there's a reason why some actors (like Junior Bachchan), directors (http://twitter.com/vivekagnihotri) and MDs (http://twitter.com/v1sh4l) have added the likes of Bollywood G. They probably know the actual people behind the anonymous ids. Also, don't be surprised if Rajeev Masand (and some other critics) are one of them.
I'm told that BG is a standup comedian who does the same in real life and his real id has a massive following on twitter (one of the famous Indian twitterer). Not sure so not making any claims.
Many famous people have anonymous ids to chat with regular people to know where they stand and also play devil's advocate to promote themselves. Any publicity is good being the motto.
Two people who have taken every abuse in its stride are Barkha Dutt (recent #barkhagate) and Sagarika Ghose (for her forthright view on almost everything). That's because they are newsmakers and they know the power of twitter.
