its always ARR who steals it, not all his songs are marvelous or exception. JHS was good last year, but nothing great!

Jai ho wasn't exception either, i never liked it............JAII HOO..what does it even mean lol

I never loved Jai Ho...liked it and liked the fact that ppl were getting more intrigued with Indian culture, but AR Rahman is one of the best....Dil Se, Guru, Roja, etc.....he makes beautiful composition that touches your soul....so I never mind him winning!!!

And so agree KK is def underrated and I feel like Atif is also....some of his songs become the biggest hits of the year and ppl don't nominate b/c he's "fake" singer....but I've heard him live and he's really good!!!

The only reason Jai Ho became a worldwide hit was because AR Rahman used beats and sound that simply isn't present in Western music. Actually, most Western music has become techno, even for sad songs😕😆 So Jai Ho really stood out

The reason why most Indians don't think it was really that special was because the same beats and sound is present in most Bollywood music😉

But I still liked hearing all my white friends singing "Jai Ho"😆

I agree, I didn't really like Jai Ho in particular, but I did love some of the other bg tracks from Slumdog Millionaire.
