about time

i think it's high time that a drama be made with a male protagonist. i'm sick of all these shows where there's one bechari woman banging her head against the wall for her ill fate and one satanic vamp who keeps grinning at everybody else's grief. and knowing that other than ekta kapoor, most producers are male, i would think it's quite sexist. when will they show a woman's happiness??? i think our society's too pre-occupied with women's plight, and half the time the dramas don't even show a true portrayal of that stuff.

let's list the dramas that have women as central characters

-sindoor tere naam ka
-kassam se
-kehna hai kuch mujhko
-hum pardesi ho gaye
-mamta

-sarrkar
-kaisa yeh pyar hai

amazing isn't it? the only show that centred around a male was ayushmaan and pancham. but pancham was pure crap!

what say guys? more male centred dramas?

I think Inidan dramas are women orianted, while films are male oriented. I also think that they shoul show strong unchanging male character, because it most of the dramas, main lead marrys a rich spoiled guy, who is shown as negative half of the time and keeps on changing his nature. I also think that they shoul show strong female characters in movies, I mean there are very few with women lead, only SAMAY (susmita sen), comes to mind. Hope some day they will balance out.

Reth also to be added to your list. Also, male characters are soooooooo unbalanced (for good or bad), no individuality, no thinking --no...,no.............. Good to bad change is great. But then good to bad then to good and bad .........Even if the serial is female oriented, it would be nice show a strong male character - supporting.

sorry if i have pissed you off, there is no need to get so angry really, you can express your opinion, i can express mine. in my opinion, pancham was garbage, meera coming back from her death and all... it was pretty hilarious, i wouldn't say it's better than other serials, i would say it's just as bad as other serials.

i think that the indian dramas shoud be about women but then the men in real life should be knowing how their wives feel u know and one other show that have women as central character is
