Abhay stood guard throughout the night. It wasn't like he ever slept so it didn't make a difference to him what he did really. The whole night stalked him with memories of Pia's lips on his. Part of him wished he'd never kissed her part another part languished for her taste wanting more. Her sweet taste still played with his mind. It just made him ache for her even more. Abhay realized that he was the one playing with fire. Because she was burning him up inside out torturing him. He wished she knew what he was. He knew that would scare the hell out of her and she'd never think twice about ever being with him. It would cure her of the perfect image she'd made of him in her own mind replacing them with nightmares. He was an abomination that was against the natural order of life. He was a leech that could only suck the life out of living beings. He didn't deserve to live forget love. Didn't deserve to exist. He didn't deserve Pia. But with his powers no longer working on Pia he couldn't compel her any more. So he had no choice but to keep his dark secret from everyone and soldier on. He'd screamed his frustrations in the night. He was racked with fear for Pia. He didn't know what was going on forget the new dangers surrounding Pia? She was a magnet for danger that was an understatement of the year. Why was Pia even here in this secluded place in town where even birds would think twice before coming here. What was she doing outside the Qila at night on her own? Who was calling her? Why her? Why Maithali? Why? He corrected himself. Why Pia? What was in this place? He couldn't see beyond those memories he kept at bay. He wasn't ready to face them. Face Maithali. He'd never entered that Palace since her death but Pia was forcing his hand. That Kabir was a thorn. He had a good mind to eradicate him from existence. His puppy love for Piya was getting irritating. He was jealous of his whole approach to Pia. Abhay knew Pia had no romantic interests in him but he hated her being with him. Abhay felt like he was her personal bodyguard. Stalking out her every move just in case something happened. He couldn't let Pia down. She would not pay the price Maithali had paid with her life. He would fight to save Pia from anyone even his own parents. Abhay was up in the trees getting the birds eye view of Pia getting her lessons with Kabir. That guy never quit touching Pia.

Kabir got out the white horse Pia was taken with. He did all the sfety checks putting on the saddle. He helped Pia get on the horse. Her smile widened with excitement her eyes grew bigger. She let out a chuckle gently stroking the maine of the hourse. Kabir hopped on the back and strode along. He had his arms around Pia whispering in her ears to just relax and enjoy the ride. Pia shrieked with glee. She thought this was fun. She felt free and Kabir was patient with her. It was a little bumpy at first and yeah scary but with every step she got the hang of it. Occasionally Pia would look Kabir's direction. He was enjoying it as much as she did. Kabir loved Pia's outlook on this new skill she was learning. He loved the feel of her in his arms. It made them seem as if they were really close. The compact space allowed him to touch Pia in a way he wouldn't have dared to for fear of making Pia uncomfortable being around him. He never wanted Pia to feel like that about him. Kabir had hoped this would bring them a step closer to being a coule. That was the main goal. Pia was a natural taking in everything he was telling her and they began to pick up pace. He handed her the reins and she gently went on a head. The horse was galloping ahead. This was a rush. She wished she tried this sooner. Kabir held on Pia a little tighter. She hadn't even noticed how close his face was around her neck but Abhay had. He saw the whole thing breaking the branch in his anger. He hated the close hold Kabir had on Pia and she was unaware of this tactic. Could she not see how Kabir was getting into her personal space. Of course she couldn't. She was in the front seat while he had his arms around her. He had to hand it to Kabir. But Pia would never be his because she was Abhay's. He couldn't see straight. All he saw was Pia and how much he wanted her away from Kabir's clutches but he was scared she'd just throw it all in his face if he warned her to stay away from Kabir. After all he knew he had no right to order Pia on who she is with.

Kabir took the reins back from Pia. He'd decided that they had enough now and just relax. Kabir was impressed by Pia's progress. For a beginner she'd picked up a lot. They were away from the watchful eyes of their friends. He wanted to just talk to Pia. The two of them. Maybe it would bring them closer. After all girls liked to talk. He knew all about that. he'd usually dozed off in mid conversations but with Pia he'd found he just wanted to know everything there was about her. She brought out that side in him. He was lost in Pia's eyes and her natural beauty. By the time he got back to his senses Pia had taken off with his horse. Kabir just watches on dumbstruck. He runs after Pia but no good came of it. She was gone. Pia was scared of what was going on. The horse was fine one minute and went crazy the next. She tried to get it to calm down. Slow down but why was it running and where was it going? She desperately tried talking to the horse to see if it understood her. She was trying everything but nothing worked. She was frantically searching for a safe spot to jump off but couldn't see any greenery but land. She shouted out in a high pitch voice for help as she looked around the empty field scanning the place for people. Pia saw a line of blurred black grey line reaching towards her. She wondered what it could be or was it the fear in her making her see things. Hallucinations often followed when U can see death. Was this the angel of death heading her way? She was no longer scared but relieved that she wasn't alone. The line she saw became blacker until she saw what it was. More like who it was? Abhay had run all the way to her but how? He was on foot. He didn't even break a sweat. He grabbed hold of the horses reins and pulled it back making the horse jump hard throwing Pia off. Abhay used his quick reflexes to let the horse go and grabbed hold of Pia catching her in his arms where they remained eyes locked in each others. Abhay broke the contact first looking away. He let Pia get on her feet as she had recollected her bearings. Why was it always her that ended up in trouble? She wasn't complaining because again Abhay had come to her rescue. She wasn't born this clumsy. Pia tried to not look in Abhay's eyes. She didn't trust herself around him anymore. He had this hold on her and wasn't about to let him in the driving seat.

Abhay tried to see if Pia was hurt scanning her-Are U ok?

Pia answered back-I'm fine just a little shaken. Nothing i'm not used to. That was some trip.

Abhay with his serious cross look-Serious trip. More like stupid. What makes U do these stupid stunts Pia? Horse riding with Kabir who is a novice himself! U scared me half to death.

Pia sulks-I was just trying to have fun Abhay. Something U need to do once in a while. You're always so uptight. Wait U what? Spying on me! so Kabir's giving me lessons what's it up to U anyway? Not like U care Abhay. he was just being a friend. That's one thing you're short on Abhay. Friends.

Abhay retaliates back with his temper getting the best of him-Kabir a friend is that what he is now? He wishes he was more than that Pia. How can U not see that? His hands are all over U. He's doing what he can to win U over Pia. Spending all the time alone with U. Getting that much closer. I feel pity for him. He doesn't even see what U are doing to him.

Pia seething with anger-Only U can put two and two together and make five. Abhay, Kabir is just a friend how many times do i have to repeat this to U. Do U want me to alienate myself from people like U? His hands weren't all over me he was just helping me balance on the horse. What was he supposed to hold on to? Friends spend time with each other. The others didn't want to join us. God why am i even bothering giving U an explanation U don't deserve that. Abhay. U jump the gun all the time. I don't exactly question U on the company U keep. So why are U doing that to me? U have the habit of kissing every girl under the sun. Tara, T and many more. Did U once think what U put me through? No but i have kept my distance best as i can from Kabir and for what? For U? Is this your new thing now. Hurt me till i break Abhay! See how much U can push till i crumble.

Abhay unsure of what to do now. He hadn't meant to upset her. He thought he could handle his jealousy. He took her in his arms and just held her-I'm sorry Pia. I seem to be doing everything wrong. I go crazy when U put yourself at risk. When i see U with him. I can't allow U to get close to me because i don't know how i'd cope if U ever saw who i really am. I'm a mess and i didn't want U to see it. Does that answer it for you.

Pia searches for something in his eyes-Abhay what are we doing? We keep ending up in the same place. I don't want to push U but i need to know what is this? I won't understand your pain unless U talk to me about it. Last night was the best night of my life but i saw things Abhay in your mind. U need to sort yourself out Abhay. get some closure. Let me in Abhay. i can help U.

Abhay sighs-Nobody can help me Pia. We'd better go from here.

Pia stops Abhay in his tracks-This isn't over Abhay. I'm not letting U run away anymore. No matter where U run she will follow U Abhay. Haunt U till theres nothing left. I've seen parts of U Abhay that is overwhelming but U have heart. U are beautiful inside Abhay why do U keep doing this? You're not a serial killer are U? Then we do have a problem.

Abhay evades looking into Pia's eyes. She was so close to the truth yet so far. He'd killed many people in his time but if she knew how-We'd better go Pia. The others must be wondering where U are.

Pia could see Abhay was diverting the conversation away from him-Abhay do U see this place here. Why are we here?

Abhay kmew what Pia meant. They were outside the Qila again. What did this place want?-The horse must have liked the location. After all your screams were probably frightening the horse to death. So it brought U in a haunted place in return.

Pia scoffed-Huh very funny. More like it must have seen your wretched mood coming its way and U scared the horse to death. They say animals can sense the unknown. U know who knows maybe it sensed something in U Abhay thats why it ran away. i think i like my theory better. Abhay why have U got your back to that place. Do U have some past enmities with that place? U seem to get flustered every time. Last night it had the same effect and now U are doing this evasive thing Abhay. I know U well enough to know somethings not right.

Abhay starts to walk away while Pia walks towards the Palace doors prompting Abhay to grab hold of Pia and lead her away. he didn't want to go in there. He wasn't mentally stable yet.-Pia i don't want the others to call out the search party for no reason when i can take U there. I'll give U the tour myself if U want next time but lets just get out of here.

Pia could tell he was getting annoyed-Fine but i'm telling U have a serious fixation with this face. Get over it Abhay. Its freaky how the girl U love looks like me. u don't want to enter that palace with a girls portrait hanging on the wall looking like me. And how did U get to me so fast? U can't be that fast. I'm sorry. It's not humanly possible and how did U manage to save my? U have a knack of being there to save me all the time. At the bar, last night and now here. How did U even get here? There's no cars around so obviously on foot unless U can fly. Are U ever going to tell me what's going on because i will get answers Abhay. i don't care if U like it or not but one way or the other i'm getting them.

Abhay started walking with her away from the Qila.-U done with your interrogation Pia because i'm bored listening. Now i'm not carrying U all the way back so U better get a move on.

Pia asks-Do U have a cell phone on U?

Abhay replies coldly-Why?

Pia-I need to call the others. Let them know i'm fine.

Abhay gives her his phone-Do U know their number? I don't have my phone with me. i left it in the farmhouse.

Abhay getting irritated-Do U do this for laughs? They are your friends not mine. How would i know their number? Now keep quiet and just walk.

They walk on all the way out of the area and Pia get tired. They rest for a little while and head towards the farmhouse where everyone is waiting for Pia anxiously. Abhay attempts to disappear again but Pia hasn't let go of his hands. She's not letting him slip away from her again. Abhay could feel Pia wasn't letting him go so easily. He didn't want to hurt her with his brute force so he let her lead the way. RRosa and Misha greeted Pia in and were shocked to see her hand in hand with Abhay. Abhay had no idea how to get out of this one. How does he explain his presence and that too on foot.

Misha hugged Pia-U ok? Don't ever do that to me Pia. I was scared for U.

Rosa smiled-So Abhay the hero comes saving the day. Again Pia has U to thank. I'm sure this isn't going to become a regular habit is it Abhay?

Abhay just shrugs his shoulders. Hey this was becoming a full time job for him.

Kabir hugged Pia-God Pia when the horse came back i thought something might have happened to U.

Pia told them-Abhay was there to protect me as usual.

Kabir gives Abhay the stare-Thanks man but weren't U supposed to be with Tara.

Tara waves at Abhay-Chand made me come here to drop the car off to Danish and Panchi. Business meeting and he knows. He'd overheard us.

Abhay brushed his hair back with his hands-Just what i need.

Tracker hugs Abhay randomly-Oh Abhay why couldn't i get in trouble and U save me. Pia is so lucky she has danger follow her round and U are always to catch her when she falls.

Misha scolds Tracker-U bhuddoo! Abhay couldn't save a fly if he tried he just got lucky. I'm sure he planted this to win over Pia. It's all a scheme. I know it. Guy's like him never do anything for no reason and Pia is falling for it.

Rosa adds-She's already gone Mish. So is he. They just don't want to give in. I mean there is a reason this keeps happening. Abhay U have to let her in. It's the only way for U to get past your inner demons. Tara U need to help him. Before it's too late.

Misha rolls her eyes-Look what U started off the prophecy queen.

Tara adds-I agree with U Rosa but U know very well what's going on here. She doesn't know half the picture forget the full thing.

Rosa continues-Then get her to understand. Both of U get your cats together because something big is going down here and we are not following the signs. Abhay's too enveloped in his own pain to see past his own issue. His woman is about to cream his present woman if U get my drift.

Abhay confused with the witches cryptic codes-U girls are really getting on my nerves. Whose girl is doing what to which girl?

Rosa and Tara both give Abhay their witchy look. Rosa-For an intelligent guy like U. I don't know U are very slow.

Tara-See what i have to work with. Lets just say i'm here to give U a hand because U my dear friend have no idea what's going down here at all.

Misha fed up-U know this is beyond anything i can even imagine. Since when had Tara joined the group and Rosa U are cavorting with the enemy.

Rosa-To help my friend i'l link up with anyone. Ok Pia this is what i think is going down and Tara will deal with Majnu over there.

Tara takes Abhay away to simply give him the short hand info on what going down without mentioning Maithali.

Pia couldn't believe anything Rosa had told her. Maithali is after Pia because she looks like her. That was the daftest thing she'd ever heard and Tara had fallen for it too. These witches didn't half come up with a funny story. They were trying to scare her no doubt but something in Rosa's eyes had made her see what they were on about. Just maybe this was all true.
