That's what makes SRGMP leaps ahead of any other singing competition.

Anyway, C2006 will have same format as c2005.

There is a deviation in the whole essence of SRGMP BRAND, whose sole strength since its inception was pure music!

Now, it gives stars on Chemistry also..(7 stars)

(Here the focus is not singing but the way they act, perform, sizzle on stage a la Bollywood Stars!)

Singing + performance (7 Stars)

This clearly shows the focus is not only singing now....only 1 miniscule portion in the ratings is Singing.. 2 other aspects are Performance and Chemistry.

The deviation started with SRGMP2005 when they went the reality TV way to compete with II craze.

About 2006 lets wait and see....there is no official announcement so lets not speculate, just coz we are fans of SRGMP :-).

So, today I find SONY and ZEE in the same boat!

I beg to differ here. Karunya is lucky to be associated with SONY and SONY BMG.

Debojit is a winner and yet we are still to get his album release, we Debojit fans are still waiting!😕 .

All said and done if Karunya manages to win ( I pray he becomes the agla Indian Idol) , he will have his private album released within a month!😊

He is in top 2 now, so he will get his album released just like Amit sana last year and start his career as professional singer !!👏

😆totally agreed.While SRGMP looks for real singers Thats why none of the II and FG singers have any class in singing next to SRGMP singers.BUt trinaed singers (like AMey,Karu,Meenal,Antara,Monali.........)are really good!!!!!

I am a music fan. It does not matter if it is from SRGMP or II2. The singers of II2 are not up to the mark. That's all I'm saying.

THe contestants in EMAET are those that did not make it to the top 5 . They atleast sing in sur in comparison to Sony singers. Isn't that a minimum that should be required when someone is upto that level of competition.

However, if they toughen the criteria and the competition and focus specifically on quality singing then I may switch my favouritism.

So I like the SINGING in SRGMP. I could care less about the brand as you suggested, even though I watched it since the Sonu Nigam days.

And I definitely don't think they are in the same boat, atleast not right now.

but if singing is not the most imp criteria then something is definitely wrong

makeovers dancing performance are all ok but not at the cost of singing

from the first episode of II galas it was clear that amey or karunya were the only 2 deserving
and i have never seen an episode when either of these two wasn not the best singer

in contrast in SRGMP nihira hema debojit vinit himani all excelled
one day nihira was superior another himani and sometimes debojit vinit hema


this new format of ek main aur ek tu is just stupidity a short break like FG
but with C06 the focus will be back on singing

bottom line is singing shud be the main criteria
i mean the judges do select the top 28 dont they
how did screechers like neha and jolly make it to the top 28

even though emaet is not a patch on C05 it still has all better singers than II2 except amey and karunya

👏 Your completely right. That's what you call a competition! When the top 5 were sooo fantastic, that there was serious confusion as to who a person should vote for. They all performed at a level which could be said that they are the future of playback singing.
