Door to Office Closed Again on JKRowling.com

The "Do Not Disturb" sign is back on the office door on JKRowling.com, meaning the door is closed and our wait for our W.O.M.B.A.T. results begins. While we do not know how long it will be until we get those results, it could be any day now-Constant Vigilance everyone! :)

Goblet of Fire DVD Released in Hungary Today

Dan Radcliffe Newsletter to Fans Mentions Phoenix

Page from DanRadcliffe.co.uklet us know that actor Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) has sent out the latest edition of his newsletter to fans where he briefly mentions the filming for Order of the Phoenix. He says that new director "David Yates is fantastic, and that Imelda Staunton is brilliant." Dan also talks about the music he is listening to, as well as some of the films he has enjoyed recently such as Good Night and Good Luck, and Walk the Line. Bloomsbury Set to Launch Special Harry Potter Box-Set, New Audio Series

In addition to the earlier news about their profits from the Harry Potter books, UK PublisherBloomsburyalso revealed some upcoming plans for the next five years related to the series. The AP reportsthat :

"The date for the seventh and final book has not yet been confirmed, but the publisher intends to print a paperback edition 12 months later. It also plans to launch a box-set edition of all the volumes and continue to launch editions to coincide with the film releases, the fifth of which is scheduled for July 2007."

This is the second time in recent days that we are hearing of a July 2007 timeframe for the release of the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix film. The Scotsmanreport on Bloomsbury also notes that along with the special box sets we can expect "cloth-bound editions and an audio series connected to the Potter phenomenon, are still to come along. " We do not know what this new audio series is, and we will update with more information on this series when we can.

HP boosts Bloomsbury's profits

Bloomsbury, the publisher of the UK editions of the Potter books, posted profits of $34.8 million for 2005. Sales of the sixth book, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, boosted profits 24% for the Bloomsbury company.

Info on Dan's latest newsletter

DanRadcliffe.co.uk has received a copy of the actor's most recent newsletter and has posted a nice summary of what it contains:

He thanks fans for their Valentine messages, and he explains that he was extremely excited to have filmed December Boys in lovely Australia, and he can't wait to get back there. He mentions that Director David Yates is fantastic, and that Imelda Staunton is brilliant. He also gives insight to books he's read recently as well as films he's seen which include Dubliners by James Joyce, Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky, and for films, Good Night and Good Luck, and Walk the Line.

Some music he's listening to currently include The Spinto Band (which by the way if anyone has purchased their music online, please send me any links so that I can purchase it in MP3 format) and also Be Your Own Pet, Jim Noir Stars, and Elbow! We will OF COURSE be looking for those additions to WRAD very shortly! He thanks fans for projects he's received recently to include scrapbooks and albums, but explains that due to sheer volume, he is no longer able to respond personally to them, and he apologizes!
