Roja Actor Arvind Swamy to pay Rs. 75 lakh to Ex-w

Remember actor Arvind Swamy who caused quite a stir in the nineties for playing the lead role in Roja and Bombay? Then he vanished without a trace and kept to movies in Tollywood. Now he is back in the news with a hi-profile divorce.

Most celebrity divorce settlements are kept under wraps in India. But some do see the light of the ever-prying paparazzi!

Reportedly, Arvind and his wife Gayathri filed for divorce in Chennai and the actor will pay a hefty alimony. Apparently, he will have to shell out a whopping Rs. 75 lakhs as divorce settlement and Rs. 1 lakh as monthly maintenance. Arvind and Gayathri got married in 1994 and have two children who will be in their father's custody.

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt also paid a huge alimony to ex-wife Rhea Pillai. According to reports, he gave her the flat where they lived, estimated to be worth Rs. 8 crores, a plush Honda City and also took care of all her expenses that include several trips to foreign countries.
