There is only one name that comes to your mind when you think of someone who is a complete actor on the small screen. It is none other than Karan Kundra aka Arjun of Kitani Mohabbat Hain. Yes the blue eyed boy has it all that requires to be a popular actor. He is tall, dashing, fashionable, good actor and a good dancer . Here is a summary of few minutes spent with him.

Q. How does it feel to be back on screen?

Ans. It feels really great. I am so happy and elated to be back on Kitani Mohabbat Hain ( KMH) that there are no words to define it. I wouldn't term it as my comeback on screen. I always went on breaks. After the first season of KMH I took 1 month break to meet my family in the US. Immediately after that I did a show on Sony named 'Baytaab dil kee tammana hain'. After that there was Zara Nach ke Dikhaa on Star Plus. And now I am back on NDTV imagine with KMH-2.

Q. What were your aspirations as a child?

Ans. As a child I wanted to be an automobile engineer. I simply love cars. I always had this fascination of designing cars. I wish I could do it. But as I grew up I got involved with my dad's business and then into acting. So today here I am as an actor.

Q. How did acting happen to you?

Ans. Oh it completely happened by chance. I never prepared for it. I had my pictured uploaded on facebook where Ekta ma'am saw my pictures and asked me to give auditions. Then I was sent a script to act and make a video. I did that and sent it to Mumbai. They loved my work and offered me KMH.

Q. You said you were handling your dad's business. So when you decided to get into acting did he not oppose you for your decision?

Ans. Not at all. My parents have been very supportive. Joining my father's business was also my decision and not his. He always wanted me and my sisters to be independent and take our decisions ourselves. When I told him about my acting plans, he welcomed them totally. He told me that whatever I do I should be best in it and that is what matters to him.

Q. How different is KMH-2 from KMH-1?

Ans. KMH-2 is very different from KMH-1. Part 1 had a simple easy going story line. But Part-2 has much more things in it. It is more youthful and hip as compared to part1. The story line is comparatively light , not much crying is there in part-2. The story is very youth appealing and the percentage of romance and passion is much higher.

Q. What is your relationship status with your on screen partner Kritika Kamra?

Ans. (Takes a pause)……hmmmm…..I don't know……(laughs)…

Q. Is it complicated?

Ans. Oh no, not at all. We are very much together and dating each other. But there is still lots to know about each other. And I think our relationship is growing day by day.

Q. Is marriage on cards sometime in future?

Ans. (Laughs again)… We are not even thinking about it. She is just 21 years old. We have a great career ahead of us. We are completely concentrating on our career for now. And I believe if it has to happen it will happen we don't have to plan it.

Q. Do we see Karan Kundra acting in movies sometime in future?

Ans. Yes definitely. If a nice script comes across I will definitely take it up. In fact before I started working on KMH-2, I had already signed a movie and started preparing for the role. But somehow it didn't work out for me. There were some financial issues and in the mean time I was approached for KMH-2 also. I chose KMH because whatever I am today is because of this show. The popularity of this show has got it back on screen. That means I along with my entire team is really loved by the audience. So that is why I took up this show. But KMH-2 will last for around 150 episodes only .And if I get a good offer then I will do it for sure after I pack up with KMH.

Q. Recently in an interview you said you are a workaholic. You also worked 33 hours back to back inspite of the fact that you were ill. So what are your views on work life balance ? Is it wise to not pay attention to your health?

Ans. (Laughs) If I may correct you I worked 40 hours back to back and not 33. No I will not say it is wise to ignore your health. But looking at the popularity of the show and the hard work it demands we have no option left to ourselves. Audience love us and expect a lot out of us. We carry a huge responsibility on our shoulders. So to fulfill their expectations we have to give more than what we can. Now when the show is back on popular demand it requires more effort. Also when a show has just started it takes some time to settle down. That is why initially we have to put in more efforts than required. I am sure once the show is settled we will be back to our normal routine.

Q. When does the audience get to see the love angle in KMH-2?

Ans. To tell you very frankly, I don't know how the story is going to shape up. You will not believe I read my script after I come to the set every morning. I do not prepare beforehand. But the attraction between Arjun and Aarohi has already started so may be sometime soon the love story should start. Currently there is lot of drama going on in the show. It feels as if I am shooting some movie from the 90s. I am simply loving the way the current track is moving.

Q. It seems your look was tested quite a few times before it was finalized. Can you throw some light on this?

Ans. Yes that's right my look went through a lot of changes before it was finalized. Before starting to shoot for KMH-2 I was in US preparing for the role in the movie I had signed. I had a huge body and a different haircut. To shoot for KMH-2 I had to reduce my body as well as the haircut. Also as you have seen I have been a master of disguises on KMH-2. I have played the roles of a policeman, a waiter, a rajasthani singer, a Punjabi truck driver etc. So you see my look was changed for every role as it demanded.

Q. You have a huge fan following and that is one of the reason why KMH is back on screen. So what is your message for your fans?

Ans. You know it may sound very general and ordinary but I would really like to Thank my audience from the deepest core of my heart. It is just because of their love and appreciation that KMH is back. I am really glad I have got one more chance to showcase my talent to them and get loved. I promise them I would never let them down and give them as much entertainment as possible. I really love them all.
