MUMBAI: Viacom18's Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) Colors has secured exclusive broadcasting rights for The 10th Indian Telly Awards.
The Indian Telly Awards, managed and conceptualised by Indiantelevision.com group, is an annual property, which honours best and deserving talents in the Indian television industry in various technical and popular categories. This is the 10th year of indiantelevision.com's The Indian Telly Awards, which is indeed a success in itself.
Prior to Colors, the awards were aired on Sony Entertainment Television for six straight years. The property was also telecast on Star Plus for three years.
The awards will be shot on-ground on 2 December at Bhavan's Ground, in Andheri west, Mumbai.
Colors said in a release that the awards night is going to be star studded with stellar performances by the stars of the small screen. Putting up interesting performances will be the Rakhi Sawant, Shabbir Ahluwalia, singer Kavita Seth, Tisca Chopra, and RONIT ROY among others. Also Bollywood stars Priyanka Chopra, Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Farah Khan are expected to grace the occasion with their presence
The popular categories of the Indian Telly Awards 2010 include Best Daily Serial, Best Reality Show, Performance in a Leading Role - Male and Female, Performance in a Supporting Role - Male and Female, Performance in a Comic Role, Performance in a Negative Role, Best Art Direction for Fiction and Non –Fiction, and the set of Jury awards.
The awards, in its 10th year, will also see new categories like Best Youth Show – Fiction and Non Fiction, Best Judge of a TV show, Best Ensemble and Best Continuing TV serial.
