Intro: Happens post the revelation of the truth by Subodh.
To young yet to be husband wife

Anurag Ganguly ran like the wind-literally.
He remembered staring at Subodh, numbed as Subodh told him the Truth.
The thing about the Truth is that it never shows its face by the time you really need it...and when it does, it pops out like a monster, old and haggard and bitter and piercing-even worse than the Lie.
But Anurag was determined not to let this mask stay uncovered any longer. Taani had to answer him now...how could she even think of hiding the truth from him....
Maybe she just didn't estimate the amount of pain it would cause you..maybe because she was too swallowed up in that dark hole you opened up for her with your words....his mind cackled nastily. Ignoring the thoughts he ran like his life depended on it-and it did. For he had just come to realise she was leaving for Mumbai...leaving him..for ever...
Wherever you go, we will go together

Today, tomorrow, forget the past

He remembered leaving Subodh's office..walking slowly..as if someone had just rung the death knell for him. He still remembered..the accusations he railed upon Taani..calling her selfish and needy..when he was the one who was selfish and needy..nothing in the world could stop him from cursing himself....
Taani..his world..his joy...ever since childhood..despite the fight between their families the two best friends had always stayed together..but just because of his foolishness he had never realised how much he loved her...how much he needed her...
You are my need
My only desire
Can't you come closer
By the passionate fire
Alighted in my heart
By your coming
When you go, it cools down
The effect is numbing
He had broken into a run and raced to her house...only to find a sullen Laboni kaaki, Taani's mum and a furious Taposh, her brother.
'How dare you!' Taposh yelled standing at the door. "You and your family..you've all ruined her life! Your enemity is not with her..but you just won't spare her will you? She's gone now..gone to Mumbai..to follow her dreams..and to stay away from you..." he spat angrily.
Anu didn't pay heed to his biting words..the very sentence 'Taani has gone' had already numbed his heart to the point where nothing could hurt him..but the fire of hope had not yet dimmed..he ran and ran....
And then suddenly...he realised..he wanted Taani so desperately..here he was..running like anything...like a madman chasing a lost, unimaginable dream...for that was Taani, ethereal in the beauty of her goodness...but what did Taani want?
All she ever wanted was you!!
He stopped by a roadside vendor and immediately asked for some vermillion powder...the vendor said..'Running away?"
"Naah.." said Anurag, smiling for the first time in days...'I'm running towards my happiness....." And leaving the vendor confused, he resumed his pace....
Everyone would stop and look at him..what was posssibly this young well-dressed handsome man chasing? Was it a lost rupee note....a theif..a dog....Anurag laughed as he contemplated at what they must be thinking. And he laughed even more at the prospect of what they will think when he came back with Taani by his side.
Finally..the railway station loomed before him...large and imposing..like a kind of palace of Judgement Day. Disappeared were all the questions, leaving only a dry mouth and one doubt whirling round and round in his mind..would she forgive him...would she accept his proposal...
He saw her sitting on a bench, forlorn..gazing teary-eyed at a picture of him and her together during the golden times...
Through happiness and hell
I shall be with you
Now you only have to tell
Whether you love me too
'Taani!" he shouted. She looked up and stared at him, as if unable to believe what she was seeing. The train rushed in and for a moment the only sound breaking the silence between them was the sound of the train hooting..as if announcing the arrival of their new-found love.
'Will you marry me?" He screamed above the din. She blinked her eyes. A mass of commuters separated him from her..but he did not care...if only she would reconnect that soul bond....
She nodded her head. Breaking through the crowd he ran to her and without hesitation smeared the sindoor on her forehead. She did not need to say anything..his almost-suffocating hug was enough to convince her that this was not a dream..but this was reality.
They finally belonged to each other....though their souls had always been linked together...
