well if wasn't a snobby thing she said, but RM asked her why SLB didn't want her..and he did, but the concept and their relationship was different! And then post all the BM fiasco...they stopped talking and SLB went ahead and made it differently without Ash...or she had date problems...don't know and don't care b/c it was in the past and the film is perfect just as it is! On a different note, I would love to see rani-ash in the same film!!! Their off-screen chemistry used to be so cute...if only they could be on-screen together!!! Aishu...can you for god's sake just forget everything and give her a phone call!! Please Please PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

this was asked before guzaarish released! plus, aishu received major critical acclaim for her role as sophia...so it's not like she's jealous or anything! Plus, she proved this year to all her critics that she's effing versatile!! 4 different films and 4 different avatars!

guys for those of you that are questioning why she's talking about black years later, aishwarya talked about black because she was asked about it...the interviewer asked whether she was approached for black and that's why she talked about it. not her fault! LOL. and i think there's also confusion amongst certain people. she wasn't offered the main role in black.

either way rani and amit ji were perfect for the role. i don't think aish could have pulled of the teacher role as well as amit ji.

Thank God she refused(If Bhansali was stupid to offer her), She was a worse actress while it was made, she is better now. The movie was focused on a role rather than face.

Rani did excellent job and was applauded by all thats all what matters..

I watched the interview - like a few have mentioned already Aishwarya was ASKED why SLB didn't offer her Black.

I think it's unfair to say Aishwarya wouldn't have been able to pull off the teacher's role - we haven't see her do it - maybe she would've been brillaint .. but now we'll just never know.

guzaarish didn't "tank" badly, it did good buisness after the release day. and you do realize that her performence was critically acclaimed right? thats all she needs, if the tough critics and audience appreciates her work then it doesn't matter if the movie is a hit or a flop.

PS. the interviewer Asked her, what was she supposed to do? ignore the question?
