Aishwarya could never paly any role in that movie...not even the teacher's role....Mr.Bachchan and Rani and the young girl were par excellence as their respective characters! I'm glad she couldn't do it!

Everyone in the film,Rani,Mr.Bachchan,Shernaz,the father(dunno his name!) and Nandana..EVERYONE was FABBB.Only they could have done justice to their respective roles.

Now that Guzarishhhh has tanked sooo badly ...She wants to make news with Rani's Black. How freaking lame. God ! Even her so called sizzling chemistry with Hrithik couldn't save this sorry excuse of a movie.

she was offered the role of the teacher?? and then what, when she sed no, bhansali re-wrote the character? please. black only was wat it was because of rani and big b. and altho im not a huge fan of either, i'll give credit where its due. aishwarya rai would not have been able to pull of rani's role or big b's role or any other role in the movie.

I think Ash was highly praised for her performance in Guzaarish.I'm not trying to demean her.I'm just saying that the cast of Black was perfect for the film.

Rani is an allrounder which can do any role , such actresses are limited. ex: priyanka, kareena.

Umm did anyone actually watch the interview ? Or you just have to get your daily fix of Ash bitching?

R Masand asked her why SLB had not offered her Black .

She replied to that question saying she was offered Black but it was totally different concept then the teacher was supposed to be female - a la Hellen Keller. Guess SLB wanted to steal from that movie but then changed his mind.

Anyways just because she was offered a role doesnt make Rani any lesser. IMO the little girl Ayesha D outshone everyone in that movie.
