I know this aim of the drama is to focus on the lives of 4 women but some how I was gutted by Gauravs interaction with his mother in today's episode and made me question Devyani's love as a mother. Can the mother not see the contradictions her son is going through. I know her intentions are good as she wants to see her daughter in law happy which is a very kind thought but i don't agree with her blackmailing Gaurav emotionally for everything. Just makes you wonder is the women right in asking him to compromise at every stage of his life in return for her love for him. I know she is pressurized by the soeity, her husband but can she not she she slowly killing her own son.

My heart went out to him when Gaurav was in tears. It seemed like that just thought of his mother breaking all the ties with him was ripping his heart. It was sad to see a mature man who is so needy of his mothers love. He already thinks his dad doesn't love him as he has disappointed him and now even his mother doesn't love him because he can't fulfill her wish.

Good post :) I also felt bad for Gaurav. Clearly he is going through some sort of emotional turmoil and something is eating him up inside. He has a strained relationship with his father, so connecting with him is out of the question. He seems to dote on his mother and she equally showers him with affection but Thursday's epi showed a slightly selfish side to Devyani.

Obviously she is Gaurav's mother and wants the best for him. But she is seeing only one side to all of this and that is Vidhya's side. She should try and understand Gaurav as well. Sweeping things under the carpet won't help and in the long run, will equally damage Gaurav and Vidhya.She should talk to him, rather than scold him in such a manner and threaten to break ties.

i think gurav must be gay.... i mean all these secrets calls (where he doesnt mention the persons name) plus not wanting to be close to his wife, his family must have found out and pressurised him into marrying to save family honour, if it was a female then i guess his parents would happily have let him marry her.......i mean they are happy that aditiya has his eye on someone of his own choice so why not gurav

Good analysis post.

I think gurav is either gay or in love with a girl whose a prostitue, but either way I need to know who the hell he's talking to cause I can take anymore.

I don't know why but all i feel for Gaurav is utter disgust and anger....I get it that he is under the control of his mother and his mother is the only person whom he can turn for any acceptance at his house. But this is a grown man....with a relationship of his own desires....he has chosen to live his life the way he wants and in this he has gone against his mother's wish....so its not right to say that he cannot go against his mother.

But Garuav the weak miserable person he is...choose to ruin another person's life by marrying her....he took away the same feeling of being loved and accepted from another human being which is Vidya.....Him in his attempt to please his mom so that he can live life the way he wants to while keeping his mom pleased....choose to ruin the life of Vidya. To me that is the worst kind of evilness....It is through the inability to recognize that others needs are the same as yours which brings about most evil in this world. Gaurav is guilty of that.

To further his bad actions he is now persuading that innocent soul Vidya that he's her best friend.....what kind of twisted friendship is this? where you are misleading your friend.....i don't know but i just cannot feel any pity for Gaurav.....he is weak of character and not a good person how ever much his shown to be. He is silently ruining another's life while attempting to enjoying his own.
