Top Movies from 2000-2010

So with the year almost winding down I thought why not share some of your most memorable films from the beginning of the decade till now. And describe why those films had a huge impact on you. So here goes my list:

1) Mohabbatein - Shahrukh. Enough said. From his acting to the wonderful storyline I fell in love with this movie from the first time I saw it. It had almost every element in the film from smiles to tears & made any true lover fall in love with the characters of the movie. A beautiful film with amazing songs.

2) Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gaum - Again Shahrukh. Enough said. 😆 No on a serious note this film had it all. Superb acting by the entire cast, a lot of emotion from smiles to tears, and a beautiful story and concept. I loved the theme of this story and I was pretty much in tears throughout most of it. I did feel Kajol & Kareena overacted a bit, but overall performances by the entire cast was fabulous & of course all the songs were memorable!

3) Laagan - I think the film speaks for itself. Aamir Khan took this film to different heights. Loved it. The songs were mesmerizing.

4) Dil Chata Hai - Another movie with great impact. Fabulous acting by the cast & wonderful songs & script.

5) Yaadein - I think this movie was really underrated. I thought it was beautiful. A very simple story. One movie where I felt Hrithik & Kareena did fabulous acting together. Songs were beautiful.

6) Devdas - Shahrukh again. 😆 From the costumes to the set to the acting of all characters to the songs to the emotions...this piece of work had it all.

7) Kal Ho Naa Ho - Shahrukh again. 😆 Again another beautiful script for KJ. Wonderful acting. Amazing songs. And an overall package. It gives you laughter & a lot of tears & an amazing message: to live life to the fullest...because kya pata kal ho naa ho!

8) Baghban - Beautiful film that really touches any children who have the uptmost respect for their parents. Beautiful script, wonderful acting, & great songs.

9) Veer Zaara - Shahrukh?! 😆 Another great script, wonderful acting by the entire star cast, & amazing songs. I think that sums up the movie in short!

10) Main Hoon Naa - Again Shahrukh. 😆 Same reasons as above. Great script, wondering acting, & amazing songs.

11) Hum Tum - For the same reasons above! Minus the SRK part. 😆

12) Swades - Really taught me a lot about my values and culture. Another Shahrukh starrer! 😆

13) Yuva - This might come as a shocker to some of you. I don't know what was in this movie that I really thought made it memorable. But I personally loved it.

14) Bunty aur Babli - I think what makes this film the most memorable is the chemistry that Rani & Abhishek shared. The script itself wasn't the best. But the chemistry & songs made this film memorable to me personally.

15) Black - I think this is another film that speaks for itself. Doesn't require much of my commentary. 😆 Acting was the key to making this film memorable!

16) Waqt - Another film that I felt was underrated. I loved it.

21) Om Shanti Om - Probably most memorable cause of Shahrukh & the item song with everyone in it. 😆

31) My Name is Khan - I loved the film. A lot of people may debate this one too, but for me it was a personal favorite for many reasons.

Dil Chahta Hai and Chak De! Esp. Dil Chahta hai, I'll never get tired of watching this one. It never gets old....esp. the first half. 😆

they are up there because this list is my personal fav list. no one has to agree or anything and i thought both those movies were good ones.

Dabang in my list had been the super duper top rated movie followed by 3 idiots....all the rest had been the top class super hits too...

again the list in the first post is my personal list and when i saw dabangg i didn't feel like there was anything about it. but just because i felt that way doesn't mean others have to. =)

you know i thought about that movie a lot...whether i should add it or not. because i looked at the film in two different point of views. lol. but yeah its a debatable film!
