hey was just looking a RBO diwali IF video page for commenting since swati had asked us to do so for better rankings.
There I was in pain seeing for some minutes a comment by an IF member saying quote
"yukk she is kaali(did not mention name) she needs to put on makeup before wearing the deep blue dress."i was really really feeling bad on reading this .
I am a south indian and most of us are all not very fair complexion and brown skinned or wheatish complexioned..I have never felt or longed for fair complexion.
Infact majority of all indians are brown or black skinned only.
At this time when Obama a half black american is visiting India nd his wife a black lady herself looking very good with all nice features like big eyes.

I want to ask u few questions with regard to tv shows and entertainment business.:
1.Is color of the skin for lead actors male/female that much important?
2Does a fair skin is the one which makes u feel happy/
3.Is it enough if they act well and look presentable and watchable on screen?
or should they be charming princes and beauty queens with fair complexions as well.
I can give numerous examples of brown skinned men and women making it very big on the sher basis of talent hard work and loads of good luck Like Amitabh bachchan.Jaya bacchan.,, SRK., Bipasha.,Old timers like Vyjayanthi mala.,Asha parekh.,,shilpa shettty.,konkana sen sharma.,nana patekar., sridevi ,why even madhuri dixit is not so fair in color
..and also priyanka chopra (forgot thanx Jaya edited again i just love ehr style of acting)
and in small screen also except may be many of starone actors not mnay of the leads in any other channels are so fair complexioned ., they are all brown skinned and yet successful.
now share ur views.,anda slo share ur views as to why do some people attach so much imprtance to color of the skin even in these times.Is it in blood or what?
