absolutely! color doesnt matter... i am fair but i would want my main lead (my life partner) to just love me like crazy.... i dont care what his color is...

same is with tv mainleads we have main leads of shows like parul of bidai and heroin of saat phere on zee who were dark but they are still the top ranking actors in tv...

color dosent mater whatsoever....

Shriyaa...excellent post..to me personally color does not hold any importance..when i like a person and their heart however their color or face may be they become precious to me...Its not color but the a white heart that will help u in life... You can see beauty in a person in the way they show love toward you..same holds for actors..if their acting skills are good then color is not a main issue...

Yashu has radiant smile, good features and natural expressions and many good things to highlight..these are the things which made me a fan of her not her color..for me she is beautiful...Dunno why some ppl are behing black white discrimination...

i am dark skinned too and i know that people think that only fair skinned people look good but look at nandita das i mean she is damn pretty and she is a little dark skinned...i so agree with your post and color doesn't matter to us but its hard to explain some people...i heard once a woman say to a girl's mom that don't get a very good looking groom for your daughter b/c she is a lilttle dark skinned....i mean that is just off limit...i dont like people who talk about this stuff
and bipasha was a dark girl but look how briliant she is and konkona love her, rani mukherjee also isn't very fair complexed..

@Shriya di..........Di many people still think that way that to be an actress you have to be really fair and tall but they ignore the most important factor and thats acting....But there are people who dsnt support that logic like the people who have written in this thread and many others.....Now India is a land of diversity and even our ideas are diverse...so let them think what they want to but the truth is that in this industry acting matters

we comment about the show and storyline... but not never personally mean harm to actors and their look....

its really degrading when people comment such nasty comments...it shows the mindset of our nation where skin color makes the person what he or she is ....really ashamed of this. and the person who said such a thing needs a whip in life ....

It is very sad to see that people will judge such talent and chemistry on the basis of color. Yashashree is an amazing actress and I love her for that. I think she is absolutely beautiful!! And we have proof that you don't have to be fair skinned to have amazing chemistry with a hottie like KT. Their chemistry is mind blowing!!!

It is just the "old" indian mentality that fairness is so important in one's life. My sis in law is much more fair than me and I always hear so many comments about how beautiful she is (gori, gori), doesn't bother me at all. As someone said earlier, life is too short to be bothered by such things.

I hope the person who made that comment sees how offensive he/she have been and that they learn from their mistake.
