Bhojpuri film star Manoj Tiwari insists on having Shweta Tiwari as his heroine in his next - at any cost. We wonder why

According to the buzz doing the rounds in the industry, a reason for the rift between Shweta Tiwari and her husband Raja Chaudhary, is Bhojpuri star Manoj Tiwari. According to the grapevine, Manoj and Shweta had become good friends on the sets of their recently released film Kab Aaibo Aanganva Hamar.

Our sources say, "Manoj Tiwari and Shweta Tiwari bonded with each other on the sets of their recently released film. Raja Chaudhary was furious when he got to know of this and the two had a big spat. Apparently, Manoj Tiwari is also promoting Shweta and asking all his producers to sign her opposite him at whatever price she quotes. Since Bhojpuri producers don't have that kind of budget, he also volunteers to pay half the money from his own pocket."

According to our source, Manoj Tiwari insisted that the producers cast Shweta, instead of Mona Lisa, in the film Dharam Veer. However, the producers did not have the budget of Rs 12 lakh for the leading lady. Reportedly, Manoj is even willing to pay half the money. Manoj threatened the producers that if they didn't cast Shweta, he would walk out. The film was scheduled to go on the floors on the October 30. Our source says, "The director of the film, Aslam Sheikh, has left the film and the shooting schedule has gone haywire."

Satish Upadhyay, the executive producer of the film says, "We had initially signed Saadhika (another Bhojpuri film actress) for the film but he didn't want to work with her, we then signed Mona Lisa. Initially he agreed to it, but now when everything is planned and the shooting is scheduled to go on the floors in Bhadohi in UP, he is insisting that we sign Shweta Tiwari. We cannot afford Shweta's fee of Rs12 lakh. Now that he has refused to shoot for the film our schedule has gone for a toss."

When we checked with Manoj Tiwari if the allegations against him were correct, he said, "It is not true at all. Frankly, I did want Shweta Tiwari in the film but for a different reason - if Ravi Kishen and I will be shown fighting over a heroine, she should be someone really big. However, I had never forced anyone. Why would I want to pay half the money to any heroine? I am not that rich."

According to Manoj, the real reason for him to refuse to do the film is quite different. He says, "These rumours have been circulated by the director as he did not have a bound script, and so I refused to work in the film. I insisted on a bound script because in one of my earlier films, which had Ravi Kishan for a nine-minute shot, both of us were given equal prominence in the publicity. I didn't want that to happen again and so I asked for a bound script. I respect and admire Shweta Tiwari and I am lucky that I got to work with her. I don't think Shweta needs me to promote her. She is a star in her own right."

Shweta Tiwari remained unavailable for comment.

it must be true, bcoz even Shweta said so in the early epis that MT wanted a particular item girl only for a song n he had differences with producers.

simple hai yar..sweta and manojwa ko hua pyar and pada thappad raja babu se..dolly ko..for talking abt this 😆..then rani,maoj's wife came to know of this and she left him...so yeh pyar ka kahani tho inka life mein chalte rehta hai...kaun kisko thappad mara gets confusing sometimes..😆

I think he is stubborn ki chahiye toh chahiye he.

oh really I did not knew this whole thappad ka kisa full on filmi😉
