Hey Gaayu, Nice topic dear. It sent my mind rewinding. I got few friends whose are love marriage. I am telling one of their story here.
Yeah I feel what we see in reel is completely inspired from real. They might exaggerate it 2 some extent to add gloss to it, but I believe what they show does happen in real too.
In my case I told ILU direct (frankly speaking I didnt feel shy thats why I once asked in DT if gals really feel shy to say ILU - wanted 2 confirm if I am not the only one not feeling shy in saying ILU)
Okay . coming to my frnd's story ....
This happnd whn I ws in school. Thr was a college near r school and mny of r school gals used to drool ovr a guy in the bus stop. This guy ws tall n handsom. My frnd ws 1 of the droolers. It happnd that they became frnds as they joined the same computer coaching center. On valentines' day this guy proposed her with a ILU card n red roses in the coffee shop near r bus stop. My frnd didnt know hw 2 react, but she liked him so accepted the gifts. U will laugh now but she responded with a thank you. V had to return bk to school to keep the roses in her locker as she cudnt carry it home.
2 days later my frnd came 2 my house n said that she wants to write a love letter 2 him and asked me 2 help her. At tht time except 4 reading M&B n other romantic books I didnt have any experience in luv. Finally I was not helping her but actually wrote the complete love letter 4 her. At that time being in school I didnt find it funny but nw I just laugh like nythng whn I thnk of the incident. So she said ILU thru a letter scripted by me.
Howevr they split after few months, as the guy was nt really serious. I had infact told my frnd many times frm the beginning tht I dont find him to be seriously in luv with her, but Love is blind so she didnt hear.
However the gud thng that came up 4 her with this bad experience is she got to meet the man to whom she is happily married now. Her husband was a frnd/classmate of that guy. It was he who actually made her realize that the guy wasnt serious abt her. Few months after the brk up, this guy(her hubby) who was still a frnd with us told her in simple terms that he likes her and has fallen in love with her. But my frnd didnt have such feelings 4 him so she told him that and he understood. But v contnd to b frnds with him. Slowly my frnd started liking him, as he is really a very gud person. She told me that but didnt want to express it 2 him coz of her bad experience.
After 4 years of frndship with him, she finally told him that she also likes him and wants him to be her life-partner. As far as I know their proposal didnt have the words ILU, later maybe they have said ILU to each other, as I know my frnd is 'Words of Affirmation' (refer Veena's post) kind of gal.
