Has the Khali Trump Card Backfired?

Salman Khan may have introduced The Great Khali with intense eagerness and animation but was he aware how much was he costing the bosses? WWE wrestler The Great Khali has, as all know, been a smart move by the bosses of Bigg Boss 4 to harvest some extra publicity and maintain its TRP, especially, after a slump was noticed in the ratings since the commencement of Amitabh Bachchan's 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 4'.

However, Khali has been making a huge hole in the producers' pockets since this gigantic man comes at a gigantic price. Reportedly, he commands nearly 40-50 lakh rupees per week and this is a whopping price considering the weekly rate of otherinmates hover between 2-25 lakhs per week depending on his or her popularity and fame. For instance, a lesser known Sameer Soni is earning much less when pitted against a renowned Bhojpuri actor Manoj Tiwari.

Khali, meanwhile, is expected to leave the house shortly in exactly the fashion he came in i.e. scripted and pre-decided.

And though the hype surrounding Khali's entry did initially woo the audience and triggered the general mass interest; now the buzz is going down and with nothing exciting happening around him, his presence is weighing down on the producers' minds (and their pockets).

Khali is not exactly a scandal-making person and quietly stays withdrawn in his exercising activities. Hence, after a certain point of time, it becomes mundane and repetitive watching him and even boring despite his magnificent proportions.

And as he continues to dig deep into the producers' vaults, looks like the Khali trump card may have eventually backfired. And if the murmurs are to be believed, then, soon the situation may arise where we shall see Khali making his way out leaving a huge area ofspace vacant and abandoned.
