But it wasn't his fault, the director gave him bad roles. All actors do is play the parts and they have to work with whatever they get. And Hritik should get kudos for that! And so many people have won best actor/actress awards for over the top acting (Saif/Rani in Hum Tum, Shahrukh in god knows how many films, etc.). And Aamir has always boycotted these ridiculous awards shows anyway! LOL! 👏👏👏

But it IS sad, when more-deserving candidates lose out on a win. It IS sad when our industry is so blinded by starry glamor that they favor more well-known stars for awards that should only be considering talent. Why else is Peepli Live being sent for the Oscars instead of Udaan? And, dare I say it, why else is Katrina considered the top actress when the girl can't even get an expression or dialogue right?

The flaws of our industry favor glamor and stardom. That doesn't make Priyanka or Katrina or whoever more deserving. And more importantly, that is NOTHING to be proud of or happy about.

Disclaimer: I think Priyanka is a good actress. Just not national-award worthy.
