Kareena loses out to PC opposite Hrithik

Once again Kareena Kapoor has lost a role to Priyanka Chopra - but this time because of Sussanne Khan

KARAN JOHAR HAS signed Priyanka Chopra to play the female lead opposite Hrithik Roshan in his remake of Agneepath. His original choice was Kareena Kapoor, but she reportedly lost out on this film because Hrithik's wife Sussanne was not comfortable with the two working together after they were linked to each other in the past.

Explains our source "Karan was very keen on having Hrithik and Kareena play the lead in his film but Sussanne put her foot down." Apparently, Kareena was very upset at losing out on the film but when Karan explained the situation to her she tried to understand.

"Kareena and Karan have been friends for long; Bebo was naturally upset when she heard that Karan was signing Priyanka instead of her. However, when Karan explained Hrithik's unwillingness to work with her because of Sussanne she understood his predicament," adds our source.

This isn't the first time that Bebo has lost a film because of Hrithik's refusal to work with her. She was Zoya Akhtar's first choice for Luck By Chance. Hrithik had agreed to do the film but when he later found out that Zoya was planning on signing Kareena opposite him he suddenly discovered he had date problems and kept delaying the film. A harried Zoya finally got the hint. (WRONG, it wasnt LBC, it was Kismat Talkies, but yeah under Zoya. It was supposed ot be her debut film.)

Incidentally this is also not the first film that Bebo has lost out to Priyanka; Karan had initially signed Bebo for Dostana but Abhishek Bachchan's reluctance to work with her stole the project from her. Bebo was also offered Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion but she unfortunately she let it slide by and Priyanka immediately snapped it up. The latter even won a National Award for it.

Both Dostana and Fashion have established Priyanka among the top bracket of heroines, so will Agneepath make her position even stronger?

Bebo had the best chemistry with Hrithik out of all her co-stars.. I wish they would work together..but happy for Pri too..

There was definitely soemthing between Hrithik and Bebo, whether it was just from Bebo's side or from both sides..there definitely was something since it's been almost 10 years since they've worked together and it's not like they don't get offers..

There DEFINITELY is something fishy between them. ON twitter one time Hrithik was having a Q A session with his fans. And he literally skipped ALL the Qs that asked hima bout workign with Kareena. But responded to other questions about workign with other celebrities. HE was LITERALLY skipping over those questions, like it was so obivous coz I checked all the questions being sent to him. At a time, 3 fans would be asking about bebo. He would literally WAIT until another question was asked. IT was so weird!

Never really liked Kareena and Hrithik's onscreen pairing...in fact all of thier films together also flopped except for K3G but again tht movie had a mulit starcast and the movie was not much abt their romance. I liked hrithik and Ameesha onscreen, hrithik and aish look fab together.

hmm... i would love to see kareena-duggu again on screen, past is past yaar sussane, she has saifu now, so why such feelings??

Come on Duggu, Bebo's gaga about saifu now. I mean her sentences start with "saif says" and end with "saifu".
