Dabang is not watchable for the teenager viewers. This movie can enjoy only adult guys and our brothers.

I personally didn't like it. There was no story, I didn't find it to be funny either, the songs were okay, the acting was okay. I've seen it once and that was enough, it's not something I would watch again .. ever.

Actually-No.
There was no story, and it was just Salman's goofy antics that as the plus point...it totally doesn't deserve to be the biggest hit.
The ONLY thing worth watching was Munni Badnaam Hui.
Without Salman,Dabangg was nothing.

i know everyone is entitled to their opinions etc etc but LOLL at some of the comments..

it's rather funny and hypocritical when all of a sudden some people grow logic and brains when it comes to movies that don't star their favourites!😉 *all the anjanis say yeah yeah yeah*

i never saw the producers claiming it's any classic.. the promos were full on about how this movie being a salman show reel !! anyways, we can ponder all we want on the net about the what "IF" but dabangg was the masala of the season and it served a great dish that people just lapped up hence the term paisa vasool for that 2 odd hours!

Here is something i just read the other day which i think is true:

"It didn't matter that the story had begun, because Kathakali discovered long ago that the secret of the Great Stories is that they have no secrets. The Great Stories are the ones you have heard and want to hear again. The ones you can enter anywhere and inhabit comfortably. They don't deceive you with thrills and trick endings."
- The God of Small Things by arundhati roy

i m saying dabangg had the greatest story of all time but it definitely had something that made it the biggest opening movie of all times

Personally, I didn't like it much. Just two things stood out for me- the songs and obviously Salman Khan. Apart from these two factors, I wasn't impressed.

Agree. It's human tendency I guess. When a film stars someone one isn't eally fond of , then it's really easy to find faults but it's not true in the other situation.
I am tired of the term "Mindless" being associated with Dabangg. Cmon it wasn't mindless or stupid. It had a proper storyline about 2 stepbrothers, their family. The mom who was torn between her love for her 2 sons. The dad who favoured his own son and who had a strained relationship w/ his stepson. The villian who is infamous for notorious dealings. The daughter who was willing to give up her happiness to look after her drunkard father. The Politics of the state and last but not the least Salman's robinhood character who is corrupt but also has a heart of gold.
I would say this has more story than most of the other films .

nothing wrong with calling a spade a spade... every movie has a story, no matter how ghisi piti it might be... even Chandni Chowk to China, SIK, etc. and the rest of Akshay's movies have a story, but people still call them mindless... don't they..? 😛😛 entertainment sells.. and there isn't anything wrong if people call it what it is...! and even Salman said that Dabang was for entertainment, so it's all good...
I would say this has more story than most of the other films .
