Guys, I have been meaning to discuss this for a while now.😊 Please bear with me.

We have all been against Dev being shown positive. Infact I was pretty adamant that the character remain negative and be considered evil.

But something while watching this show has changed me. Seems pretty weird right, a soap having that effect ,but we all know that this one does have such a hold on us.

The reason being --that this show has upheld he concept of Integrity and honesty.

We love Geet for her spirit, her spunk, her innocence. We cheered wen she realised that whtever happened was no fault of hers and was brave to desire more out of life, expect more.

I dont even have to say anything about Maan.

Now for dev. Yep we love to hate him. But isnt it good to see someone whos done such a criminal act, repent for a change.

Doesnt it feel better that he realizes his mistakes and wants to atone for them? Dont we want all criminals to feel that way?

The victims deserve it dont they? I am not saying that they dont deserve punishment , that they do, but we want them to reform themselves. they owe it to the victims.

Besides Dev is no hardened criminal. And his guilt is natural.

I love the number of positive and open minded characters they have shown in this show.

Daadi has spunk, and a devilish spark in her eye. shes smart and refreshing.('Belagaam maan' was said with such style)

Pari an effervescent character.

NT was given such a beautiful sounding by Maan.

Now Meera. Unselfishly helping Dev. Dev is weak and easily influenced. We need a strong clear character like Meera to keep him motivated. to think rationally for him. Be his conscience.

An unbiased character to think for both Dev, and the happiness of Maan and Geet.

We watch this show cause it gives us a high. A high that comes from romance, the chemistry.

But more so cuz of the underlying positivity.

That is why we love the simple yet charming interactions between each and every character.

Everyone wants to see more of geet-daadi, geet-meera, meera-maan, adi-pinky.

The refreshing unpretentious exchanges are what make each and every episode so precious.

Wen I had strtd with this show, I was so firm that I wont want the baby angle. That it would be an impediment later in the story,. But the again , the way Maan and geet have interacted this week, I kind of changed overnight. I really dont know what kind of magic they spun but I am taken. Now I wouldnt care if they do go with the kid. hey have something so magical about them , that it only keeps enhancing their hold over us.

Positivity breeds positivity. Happiness spreads like fire. And thats what I think this show does for us.

Give us a high on goodness. Damn, I feel so happy after every single episode.

I will love to watch the honest emotional turmoil that these characters are goina go thru , but with the hope that everything will turn out fine.

An amazing rainbow of emotions, soo true, no wonder we get teary eyed, whether happy or sad, while watching GEET.😊

Yes I too love the positivity (especially Maneet, they are whats keeping me glued to GHSP & Im sure thats the case for most of us here) but if the show is always positive where are the CVs going to get masala from to keep the audience on the edge? To keep them glued, to not be unrealistic because lets face is life is not a fairytale 🤔 Besides the Indian audience feasts off drama and OTT situations etc etc, so removing that whats left??
Now Im not saying that things should be like Ektamai's stories (always be negative with drag sessions and the most absurd and unrealistic events happening)...no...this is strictly in terms of Dev, I wouldn't want to see his character turn positive, it'll ruin everything! The story will start losing its essence, Dev's character made a big impact on me whilst he was in HP, I hated him to the core and still do which is why I appreciated his character being negative than positive, but somewhere along the way Dev's character got lost!
He had a strong persona, a certain bad boy charm in HP which is lost now...when I found out that he was Maan's brother I thought whoa, so while we see one brother is being a charming hero & helping Geet (which we all wanted)...we can watch the other be shady and keep the audience on their toes & make us detest him more but heck was I wrong! Dev turned into bheegi billi 😳
I fail to understand why people think Dev deserves a chance? *scratches head*
Try putting yourself in Geet's shoes & then think, would you be willing to let everything go so easily, the pain, the humiliation, the tears, the feeling of being alone...be ready to forgive and forget?
Be fair when you ask yourself this question!
...so lets see...ran with your land and jewellery, got you pregnant, the reason as you were nearly slaughtered twice, you had to face difficulties & humiliation in the city and being on your own at the age of 18 made it even more scary to live life without family, always running from happiness due to a big responsibiltiy (baby), being in pain hmmm...am I missing something? After all this would you really want to give someone a chance...because of that one (or two people in this case) those two people you had to endure so much in life in your teen years? When you should've been happy and lively you were forced to grow up, disown family & be completely parayi from everything just for someone elses deeds??
Come on...
You know I would love to watch a Maneet Vs Devtara scenario..which Im sure will bring us loads of twists and turns & it'll not only make Maneet the Ultimate Heroic couple of all time but also make Devtara the Ultimate baddies of all time which I would enjoy...not only the good but also the bad of GHSP would take over the TV industry 😉
I think thats all I had to say...if you thought I was being harsh in some ways then forgive me but its what I feel & im merealy stating facts. I dont have it in me to want people like Dev to change cause they never do (realistically speaking)

yes everyone deserves a shot at atonement for their sins...and so does Dev..but still somewhere in my heart and mind...i just cannot forget Dev and Geet's wedding night...when he knowing what he was gonna do to her the next day...and claiming that he loved his wife....just went ahead and destroyed an innocent girl forever..i can forgive NT coz she plotted for money for her hubby...and Dev would have been forgiven too if he had stuck to the financial gains...but sleeping with her..was....unbearable!!

No guys, I am not saying Geet should NOT punish him , or be HARSH with him , or that he DESERVES any kind of leniency whatsoever.

What I am saying is I am going to keep an open mind regarding that.

Like I said, up until now I abhorred the idea of a baby in the scene(no offense), but lately something in the interaction between geet and maan shifted so drastically(or so it seemed to me) that I am now ok with it(if it happens).

The same way, should the cv's develop the plot in such a way that Geet by some means decides to forgive him , I will understand.

There are all kinds of Forgiveness though. people have been known to forgive murderers of their children.I am in no way demeaning the suffering of geet, or understating Dev's criminality. But I can/may accept if shes shown to forgive him later(I wouldnt consider it absolutely crazy, is what i mean)

Besides for drama, dont worry, we have NT, Sasha(and sameera) waiting in the wings, and Dev has yet to find out that Geet is pregnant!(that may change some equations).

So loads of drama ahead.

What Dev has done is absolutely criminal and deserves every sort of punishment that comes his way. But if the cv's go the unconventional way and have geet forgive him, i'll understand.
