i did not know, that you updated so many parts after that..!!! anyways, no worries.... i read all of them in one way..!! well, i guess the good thing is that i had no cliff hangers.... cos i had so many parts to read...!!😉 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆

To Love Again - Part 25

Maan approached towards Geet with hesitation. He was ready to accept what ever she was willing to do with his life, but he could not bear to see her suffer any more. 'Geet! Let's go and have dinner. After that we can talk' he put his arm across her shoulder, willing to take her with him. 'No! I'm not hungry, but I want to know who is Sameera and what did she do, to make you so uncomfortabel' Geet's loud voice gave a shock to both Maan and Daadi. Maan tried again to soothe Geet, controlling his anger and pain. Geet was as stubborn as Maan, not wanting to give away, finally Maan yelled at her, loosing his control 'Geet! What do you think? You think that you can always win over me? No way, Geet! Enough is enough'.

Geet wanted to run away from him, from his life. She was wrong to believe and accept that Maan has changed. For the second time in her life, her eyes had betrayed her. She felt her legs getting heavy as she tried to take a step. She clinched on her huge belly, seeking courage from the only being with her. Slowly she moved away holding the warm tears in her eyes, and looked at Maan, who was looking at the ground.

Maan lifted his face and hit hard on the wall with his fist, thinking about what he said to Geet. Daadi was trapped in between Maan and Geet, not knowing whom to help first. She watched him going down stairs, which made an unknown terror to run in her nerves.

Maan threw almost everything in the outhouse on his way to the gym, which seemed an unfamiliar place to him. The gym, where he used to spend times in the morning and whenever he wanted to let out his anger. He removed the velvet coloured shirt he was wearing and threw it on to the floor. With a roar, he hit on the table with his fist and broke it into pieces. He kneeled infront of the pieces and yelled out with his arms opened wide 'why? Why does this happen to me?'

Geet was across the bed still weeping even in her sleep. Maan sat on the bed next to her and slowly put away the strands that covered her pretty face. He saw a line marked with dried tears on her cheek. He has to be responsible for it. Several times he has told her that he will never want to see any of her tears. How about now? Hasn't he being responsible for it, now? He placed a finger gently on her cheeks, wiping away the mark and placed gentle kisses on her eyes and on her cheeks. She stayed so still, which alerted him that there was something wrong. She felt too hot against his skin. He checked her temperature and knew she has a flu. Where could he go now and what could he do now? It was late night that he felt that he was feeling helpless in all the four dimensions.

'Geet? Geet?' He tried to wake her up, patting on her cheeks 'Geet? Please open your eyes' he removed the jewelleries Daadima has forced her to wear. He wipped off her head with a piece of cloth and checked her temperature in every fifteen minutes.

It was at dawn Geet gained her consciousness back and she murmured 'Maan? Maan? Where are you?' and she broke into a sob. Maan held her to him and caressed her shoulders and back with his hands as he whispered into her ears 'Geet! I'm here, just beside you'. Geet dug her face into his chest and held him tight with her arms. Maan felt the baby's kicks at that moment and his heart almost skipped a beat with happiness.

'Geet, now take some medicine with the juice' Maan lifted Geet with his arms and made her to lean against the pillows. Without a word, she had the juice and medicine like an obedient child and looked away from him. He sat on the bed and tilted her face to him, but she kept on staring below, stubbornly. 'Geet, look at me and say something' he held her cheeks with his both hands and brought his face near hers.

'What is there to say? I don't need to interfere with your personal matters and I better don't cross my limits' she spoke softly and calmly. 'No, you are wrong. If you can't say anything to me then who else can? Tell me, Geet! You and our baby completed me as a man. You are everything to me as there isn't anything beyond you, for me' he dragged her to him frmly that hurt her. 'Tell me Geet, what do you want me to do?' his face was less than an inch away from hers. She felt his warm breaths and the desire in his eyes.

She lifted her hand and slowly traited his faced with her fingers. She wanted to memorise all his features, so that she could see him even when she is blind. 'I'm sorry that I was selfish, but I care about you more than myself and Maan I love you' How could they love each other so much that they hate what they do, at times? He was over joyed with her words as he could always listen to her saying those magical words to him, forever. He buried her in his chest and said 'Geet, I promise you that I will never hurt you. No one can ever come between us'.

The baby shower (Godh bharai) for Geet was organised by Daadima and Pinky. Pinky, being a sweet friend to Geet, helped Daadima with shopping, setting arrangements, finalizing the guest lists and arranging mehndhi for Geet. Geet felt sad thinking about her family; the family which kicked her out when she needed them the most. She wanted to forget them for good, but it seemed impossible for her. Pinky noticed the sudden swift of Geet's mood easily and told her that she needs not to worry about her past. Geet nodded in assurance within her tears and smiled at Pinky.

Savitri Devi's family friends and few of Khurana construction's staff joined them with the baby shower. Geet was dressed in the royal sari and jewelleries of the Khurana family. Daadima made Geet to sit on the mandap and the Pandit started a breif puja to bless her and her unborn baby. Daadima came first with her gifts to Geet and placed the wrapped gift in her lap asking to show Geet's hands to her. She then gave two bangles to Geet and whispered into her ears 'Geet bete, I have given you everything I kept for Maan's wife and his baby. Be happy always my child' and placed a soft kiss on Geet's forhead and held her closer. Maan watched all these and thought that he would never let any of Daadima or Geet's dreams to be ruined.

After Daadima, several others showered their kind words and precious gifts to Geet, who was feeling tired as it continued so long. Showering her with gifts didn't end the whole ceremoney, all the ladies started dancing whole heartedly. Maan helped Geet to stand up from her chair while Pinky moved to them asking them to dance. Maan wanted to take Geet away from there, but slowly he held her and started to dance with the rest. As Geet could not hold it onto it any longer, Maan excused from the rest and took her upstairs.

Maan helped Geet to lie down on the bed and saw some swelling on her feet 'Geet? When did this happen? You didn't even tell me?' he lifted the sari to look at her ankle. 'It happened today only. I had no rest and was standing and sitting without giving a rest to my feet, it happened, but it will become alright in a while' Geet explained to him as though he was knew to it. 'Geet? What do you think? You tell me anything and I will accept? No way Geet, I'm going to massage your feet and I don't want to hear a single word against it. And you are not coming to office any more' he went to get some cream to apply on her feet. 'Hey Babaji! What am I going to do now? He is going to rub my feet and I can't go to office any more?' Geet started with her self talking.

Maan heard her self talk and smiled at him self feeling glad that she wasn't bringing her talks to him this time. Finally Babaji has taken care of the situation pretty well. Maan sat on the bed and lifted the sari and reached to the cream, but Geet put the sari down. He lifted it again and she put it down at the very next second. 'Geet! I think that I need to take the whole sari away from you' Maan said naughtily. 'kya?' Geet covered her mouth with her hands and closed her eyes. Maan applied the cold cream over her feet and slowly rubbed it massaging both her feet, one by one.

Geet slept off after few minutes when Maan started massaging her feet. He smiled at his kiddish wife who was asleep and removed the bangles she wore and eased her with her sari. He went out to join Daadima and rest who were still at the mansion.

Maan was busy in the office, discussing the project they left incomplet with Adi, while Geet entered. Maan felt stunned looking at Geet, who was so beautiful and tiny with a huge belly. Maan sent Adi out saying that they would discuss the matter later, to talk to Geet. 'Geet? Last night only I told you not to come to office! Have you forgotton so soon?' Maan made her to sit on the chair while talking. Geet stood up and pulled on to his tie and said 'Maan! Is there a set time to meet my husband? Or don't I have any right to have lunch with you?' Maan was lost in this act of Geet, wanting to have her as lunch.

Tasha opened the door and covered her mouth when she saw Maan and Geet standing so close, lost into each other's eyes. 'Sorry sir, there is a lady to meet you and she said that she can't wait for long.' 'Ok, Tasha send her in' Maan ordered the silly girl in his office.

'May I come in, Maan?' Sameera stood at the door looking wickedly at Maan. 'yes please! Come and have a seat' He showed a chair to her. 'Maan! I want to talk you alone, in private' Sameera said in a firm tone, looking at Geet. 'Geet is with me. There is nothing we can't talk in her presence' Maan made Geet to stick onto him. 'Ah Well, since when Maan Singh Khurana has become so fond of his employees. Forget that! I came to tell you that you still have time to surrender' Sameera smiled at him. 'See, ma'am, you can't talk to Maan like that' Geet rose from her chair and yelled at Sameera. 'Who are you to tell me? Go and see your self in a mirror' Sameera pointed at Geet. Maan lifted his hand, but Geet held onto him so he could not hit Sameera. 'Shut up, Sameera! Not a single word against my wife. Geet is my wife, beauty isn't important to me. I found everything beautiful when Geet is involved in it. Now get the hell out of my office'

'I'm leaving! But listen, you have three months, and within three months I will ruin you!' Sameera warned him before leaving. Geet trembled with fear and held tight on to Maan's hand 'Maan? What is happening? I'm afraid' Maan took her into his arms and whispered 'no one can harm you, Geet! Nothing will happen to us'
