How do you decide which book to read?

Hey nice topic..
Well usually i select books by Authors as i hve few favorite 1z..Also by geners or sometimes by bookcover as well 😊..

I also read books recommended by my friends..

I mostly read fiction , so i go to the library browse and shortlist the books with interesting covers , blurbs and titles and then select one out of those 😆

I always browse books on goodreads, sadly the cover is what attracts me to the book first then I go read the summary and decide if I should read it or not.

loved ur topic n enjoyed reading all da different ideas shared by everyone😊...i mostly read books recommended by someone mostly my elder sister ....
i go to a bookshop da very first thing i do is after picking a book is to read da backside ..if i find tat interesting den i would definitely buy it ,,,da cover also plays a role ...n if i love da book i make sure tat i get to read every book written by tat same writer ...

Lol, I usually read the title, then the author, (if I have read any of his/her books earlier or not), then I read the small bit they write on the back cover, and then I finally decide whether I want the book or not😆 And sometimes I take recommendations.

well i usually go out for books of different genres

like if the last book i read was a simple romantic novel, then i try a novel of mystery or adventure genre next time

and yes few recommendations from other and even here i look at the recommend a book section or what r u reading at the moment section and i try those

References, mostly. 🤔 Otheriwise, its me and the library . . I pick out books randomly. Read the ones I like and leave the ones I don't halfway. 😆

Many times I take recommendations ........otherwise I go to a bookstore and search for books by same author.....some authors have a series of books like Sidney Sheldon, Dan Brown......etc......
