Hey guys! Was taking a break from studying for my SSt exam tmrw, and thought abt writing my very first short story on MJHT! Tell me if it's good and I'll continue!

"I can't believe we're finally in Mumbai, Nupur!" sighed Samrat, "I'm SO going to miss Morena!"
"By God, Samrat!" Nupur rolled her eyes at her younger brother, then looked back towards the high-rising buildings and their gorgeous new home, "Don't whine so much! Mumbai is soooo huge a city! And our new mansion... wow!"
Samrat cried, "But you know why we left Morena... what if Dhruv comes here?"
Nupur's smile faded. She took a deep breath, and cried, "He won't. He's probably forgotten abour me after being in the mental hospital for five years. Now please, let's go in!"
Samrat followed his sister in, wishing he hadn't spoken about Nupur's crazy childhood stalker. He didn't want to upset Nupur; she was just being her usual bubbly self. He sighed again and then looked up at the splendid mansion.
"Whoa... By God, this house is wonderful! I'm so glad Bauji rented this mansion... I just hope it didn't cost him much."
"Beta... beti... how d'you like the place?"
Samrat and Nupur turned to find their father at the door, with a servant bringing the luggage and suitcases in.
"It's great, Bauji. And there is a basketball court nearby, as well. I think I'll love this house!" Samrat gave his father a hug.
Nupur nodded, "Bauji, thank you so much! I just hope the college is okay. Will people even be friendly? By God... tomorrow will be exciting!"
That night, Nupur and Samrat couldn't sleep that well. They had had a wonderful meal cooked by one of the servants Ramu Kaka, and after exploring their respective rooms, they couldn't help but think about it all night long. And they even had their first day of college - Nupur was in second year and Samrat in his first. Would they even find any friends? Samrat and Nupur were the most popular students in their ex-school - Nupur was one of the most popular girls in Morena, and Samrat the most popular boy. They both received the most roses during Valentine's day, as well! Would it be the same in Mumbai, the big city?
"Rise and shine, sleepyhead!"
Nupur gasped as a pillow hit her nose. "Ouch!" she cried at Samrat, "Just because you woke up earlier than me doesn't mean you start a pillow fight!" Half-laughing and half-shouting, she belted him with a pillow as well.
Laughing, they both came down the stairs for breakfast.
"How are we getting to college, Bauji?" Samrat asked nervously as he stirred his sweet corn soup, even though it was already cold. He didn't feel like eating... his first day at college!
"Don't worry, I have taken care of that. I've called for a taxi, it'll drop you to Excel College."
Excel college.... Nupur could feel butterflies in her stomach. She couldn't wait to see her new college! It was one of the best in Mumbai, she'd heard.
The minutes just flew by, and in no time at all, Nupur and Samrat got out of their taxi and looked, for the first time, at Excel College.
"How much, bhaiyya?" Nupur asked the taxi driver.
"Eighty rupees," the driver said, and Nupur, frowning, handed him the money. The rates sure were high in Mumbai!
"This college is so... wow!!" Samrat said, looking at the huge campus filled with flora. He could see students talking, walking, playing games, and even completing assignments. How much work had his class completed? He wasn't a very good student, first of all, and finishing all the pending work was tough for him.
"Let's goooooo!" cheered Nupur, not noticing that she was one of the few girls who was wearing salwar-kameez.
The bell rang, and Nupur had to part ways with her brother.
"Best of luck, Nupur..." Samrat said, feeling a bit better now. A few girls had smiled at him and it had only been a while since he had entered the college!
"Same to you! Let's meet in the canteen during Lunch, okay?" Nupur smiled and rushed to her class.
Samrat kept waving and looking at her till she was out of sight. Then, he turned and began to walk.. only to crash into someone.
"Oops!"
She had long, silky black hair and her dark brown eyes were hidden behind her spectacles. Not caring to look at Samrat, she bent down to pick up her books. She, just like Nupur, wore a salwar-kameez, though it was very simple.
Samrat bent down to help her, saying, "I'm very sorry..."
She didn't reply. After she picked up all her thick, fat, books ("She must be a study-freak," thought Samrat), she stood up and for a split second, looked at Samrat. Their eyes met.
The girl nervously said, "Sorry..." and hurried off as fast as she could, leaving Samrat behind.
"Hey, you didn't even tell me your name!" Samrat called after her, but she was out of earshot.
"Oh well," Samrat said, "I better rush for my first class, I don't want to get late on my first day here!"
Smiling, he walked inside his class.

Anyway, this is not strictly SaJan or MayUr, it's definitely gonna be both. Stay tuned for Mayank's entry in the next part, which I'll probably post tomorrow!
PS : Please bear with me, I have my semester exams going on, so I might not be able to update more than once a day!
