You Belong To Me - Part 18
Tamie and Rohan took Natasha for ice-skating. She wasn't interested in it, but joined them just to make them happy. As she isn't much aware of it, she fell down three or four times, so finally she decided to stay away. She was watching all the people who were there, free from tension and enjoying the happiness of life. She shed a tear from her eyes, but wipped it off soon. She need not to think about her past life. Destiny hasn't given her side, so there is no need to cry for what she lost. She need to start from a new beginning.
'Hey Tashu, why so lost?' Tamie called out loud after taking a break from the game. Natasha smiled at her to show that nothing really had happened. She saw Rohan talking to another guy from a far away distance. She couldn't notice the person from the distance they were staying at. Tamie sat next to her and talked about the fun she had and how much she loves to skate in the ice. Natasha was listening to her, but was watching a couple passed infront of them, with their hands joined together. The sight hurt her more, but she is more determined to fight against all her emotions.
'Oh! Tamie darling' Rohan gave Tamie a tight hug as soon as he joined them. Natasha looked up and smiled at her brother as he drag her to his side. 'Here is Abhi' Rohan introduced his friend to them. Abhi? Was he the same Abhishek she met in the plane? No, he shouldn't be. She didn't see his face clearly because of the mask that covered his face. He let his hand out to greet them. Tamie did shake her hands with his and it was her turn. She did not want to do it, so just smiled at him and said 'hi'. A naughty smile played on his lips thinking of her stubborness, but greeted her back.
At the dinner table Rohan complimented Abhishek for his creativity and thoughtfulness in business deals. Being so young, he managed so well their businesses in Pune and in Switzerland. He was so helpful and cautious with all his works. Tamie was listening to all these nodding her head sometimes or simply adding some more complimentary words to the list.
'Tashu, you should come with us for the party' Tamie pushed her into their conversation. 'No, bhabhi, I am not interested' She refused immediately. Later she agreed to help Tamie to buy an outfit for the party.
Tamie selected a beautiful evening gown for Natasha from the designers, with a scarf around the neck. Natasha refused to try it, but not to let her sister-in-law down, she went into the fitting room. The dressed suit her like it was simply designed for her self. She glanced at the reflection from different angles and saw Abhishek watching her smiling. He showed his hands as a gesture saying that it is perfect on her. She hated the beautiful dress right that moment but turned around and saw no one there. She smiled at her self and wondered why she saw his reflection.

Everybody in the Kandelwal house sat down for the puja that was about to start in a while. Khanak wore a red sari given by Mandhira,which she brought especially for her. Shaan sat next to her, feeling relaxed and happy at the moment. He was really losing his patiency to tease her and compliment for her beauty. He has to wait until the puja is over. They all joined the recitation together and got the blessing of the priest.
Later that day, she was asked to feed the people who had gathered. She served one by one and received their well- wishes and blessings. Shaan watched all her moments secretly. By seeing her smiling made him to wonder what might be the reason for her smile. He admired her beauty and kindness to every one and felt that he was lucky to have her as his wife.
When the gathered crowd left, they all sat together to have lunch. Mandhira appreciated Khanak's help and blessed her. She indirectly adviced Madhvi by telling that if a mother-in-law is unable to appreciate and love a good daughter-in-law, then she would be lost forever. Without her effort, Madhvi thought about those words through out the day. Still her ego didn't help her to keep her weapons aside. How could she forget that Khanak was from a small town? How could she tell to her friends that her daughter-in-law is nothing without Shaan? She couldn't do it.
Shaan waited until they were left alone. He helped Khanak with the dishes, after sending the servant away. He teased her while doing so. 'By the way Khanak, don't you think that you have put more lipstick today?' it was such a silly question and wasn't true at all. She knew his trick but hid it right that moment'I don't think so, how can it be, when I didn't use any lipstick at all?'. Shaan knew that he was caught. There is nothing he could do other than simply changing the topic. 'Actually I mean, Khanak, you told me that Yash and Gopi had something' he was so clever at his task. She shook her head and thought to herself that he could never lose with his words. 'When did I tell so? Shantanu, you are disturbing me, please go now' she pushed him out of the door and pointed her forefinger at him, warning him to stay back.
He thought that he needed to teach her a lesson for keeping him out. So, he planned it and waited until she comes out of the kitchen. She started off in her style with her gaze down, she was caught by strong arms with her mouth covered. She tried to turn to look at him, but the hand held her face so tight that she couldn't move. She was taken near the swimming pool outside and was laid on the chair. He cleared his throat and smiled at her 'see if you could kick me out further more, he knelt beside her. 'Shantanu, you scared me to death for a moment but later I knew it was you' she giggled. 'oh, really?' he moved closer to her and she nodded. While he was about to kiss her she pushed across his chest and he fell into the swimming pool. She bursted into a laughter and she showed him her thumbs down as she defeated him. 'Khanak, I will get you' with a kick on the water, he swam across the pool. She watched him all the way, looking at how the muscles contracted his well built body when he swam. 'Khanak bring me a towel' he called out for her. He kept his head to one side while getting the towel from her and raised one of his eyebrows as he pulled her into the swimming pool with him. She made a face and hit on the water with anger. He laughed at her and got out of the water. By leaving her all alone in the swimming pool he just waved at her and went inside.
